Malias POV:
I got my hair and makeup done and walked towards today's set.
All eyes were on me. At least it felt like it.
Everyday it's felt like it.
I can't quite place the feeling. I mean, I feel fine. I'm happy.
But at the same time, i'm not. And it scares me.
It's like everything's back to normal, but everythings changed.
Kylie was the best, she was trying her hardest, and it was obvious.
I loved her for that. And yes, I still love her.
It just feels weird. It's like our little moments don't make me feel the way they would have a month ago.
I get nervous around Kylie, but my butterflies don't feel the same.
And Shay. I thought about Shay every single day.
I thought about how crazy it is that I was able to put all of my trust into someone so, so untrustworthy.
Since that day, I've been finding it ten times harder to believe the things people say to me. To trust them.
As much as I hate to say it, this included Kylie.
Anyways, I walked past the numerous gazes, and walked straight to Jennifer.
Kylie just so happened to be there next to her.
"Malia, nice of you to finally show up." Jen said, sarcastically.
I just smiled.
"Sorry. Hair and makeup just got...caught up." I said, my voice completely unreadable.
I turned and saw Kylie, looking at me with a...frown?
I wondered if I had done something but came to the conclusion that I didn't.
It took about five minutes of standing around before Jennifer notified everyone that we would be shooting the scenes.
We started off simply walking into Merlin's class laboratory.
Kylie and I were supposed to share a long stare at each other in this scene.
It took a lot of takes.
A lot of takes because Kylie and I just couldn't seem to get our simple eye contact right.
On like our fourth try, Jennifer finally got up from her seat.
She was shaking her head.
"What is up with you guys today? Your chemistry is usually unreal."
I looked at Kylie, who was already staring.
When we made eye contact, her gaze shifted to her feet and she didn't look back up.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm wondering where it went too." Kylie said. Jennifer looked confused, but she didn't ask anything. "Do you mind if we get a quick five?"
Jennifer rolled her eyes and nodded.
"I don't seem to have a choice. Let's make it longer. I need a break." She turned to everyone else. "Quick fifteen, everyone! Go and...do whatever. Back here at six forty three."
Everyone nodded, murmurs emerged, and Kylie walked away.
I was going to follow after her, when I saw Ruby and Josh out of the corner of my eye.
"Ruby," The blonde girl turned to me and smiled.
"Yeah what's up?"
"Do you mind if I steal you for a second?"
