The mixture of emotions on his face was enough to make her take a step back. His jaw clenched and unclenched. A flash of anger turned to what seemed to be sadness before it morphed into a neutral look. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I don't think I have to remind you of the story of Cain and Abel, do I?"

"You have no idea what you're talking about. It was a biblical story that has nothing to do with-"

"You said your father isn't Adam." She scanned his face searching for some type of remorse. "I didn't understand it until I went home and did some digging. Cain and Abel were two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the older brother and after his sacrifice wasn't good enough for God, he killed his younger brother out of anger and jealousy."

"Shut up."

"In that interview with the newspaper, you claimed you loved your younger brother. You said it was a shame and you said it was a pity. You even managed to dupe everyone by shedding a few tears. They were likely not from sadness, but from guilt."

"I said shut up!"

"A classmate and I pulled out a ouija board the other day. Daeyung came through and told us everything. I know everything. Everything!" Her voice grew louder. "You murdered your younger brother! You killed him to gain the favor of your parents!"

Without warning, he reached out and grabbed her wrist. She yelped and stumbled as he jerked her in the direction of the sanctuary, but she didn't stop. "You told them that when you grew up, you wanted to be a firefighter, but you're not. You abandoned that dream and grew up to be a priest."

"If you know what's good for you, you will shut up! Satan, I-"

"You're even doing it now, Jeongin. You're blaming the devil, but I know that you know. Deep down, you know what you did. You know what you did was wrong and ever since then, you've been chasing a life and washing away that sin. You think it's something that God will forgive you for, but-"

She yelped as she was suddenly shoved. Her body jerked back and the center of her gravity tipped. Her eyes squeezed shut as she was shoved into a metal folding chair. A rope appeared from nowhere and began to snake around her arms. She hissed in pain, but didn't let up.

"You know what happened to Cain? He was exiled! Booted from where he lived because God disapproved! And where are you? You're not in your hometown anymore! You came here to start over!"

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Did you know that he loved you? Did you know that he wanted to grow up to be just like you?" Tears began to prick at her eyes. The ropes began to get tighter. She tried to stand up and the moment she did, she was jerked back hard.

At some point, her teeth clenched and caught the end of her lip in the process. She yelped at the sudden pain. The taste of iron began to take over her mouth. She gagged and choked at the salty taste.

Jeongin scowled as he took another rope and tied one of her legs to the chair. Anger pulsed beneath his skin and he couldn't focus on anything else. Minsi had no idea what she was talking about. Daeyung was killed because of a reckless driver and not because of something that he did.

"Who do you think you are?" He finally hissed in her ear. "If you think you're some type of savior, you're wrong."

"I'm here to remind you that you don't get to get away with your actions. Do you remember the first day we met and I told you what I was going to college for? Psychology, yes. I also stated that I wanted to go back for criminal justice and be a forensic psychologist. I want to know exactly why the fuck people like you do whatever the hell this is!"

A laugh escaped his body and he shook his head. "You're so silly. This is what happens when you stop attending church and play with demons. They have to be cast out of you. Have you been suffering from nightmares lately? Strange events? Maybe you've been fighting with your friends?"

Her eyes widened and a smirk began to grow across his face. "The devil will do anything to deceive you. You are so weak and you've been weak since that first party at college. A part of you has always been unhealed, hasn't it? So you fight with your mother and you-"

"Don't bring my mother into his! You keep her name out of your mouth! You motherfucker, I will fucking ki-"

She was caught off guard when the rosary's cross was pressed against her lips to silence her. Wide eyes full of fear met Jeongin's and he gave her a smile of pity. "I'm going to help you through this and then I'm going to take you back to your mother. She already knew about this, you know. She wanted this for you too."

A faint squeak fell from Minsi's lips.

"Just sit there, look pretty, and let Father Yang work his magic."
