"Enough," Victor said, his voice firm, as he raised his hand, halting Aurora's approach. His piercing gaze seemed to bore into her very soul.
Aurora shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. "N-no," she hiccuped, her voice trembling.
Victor hummed, his expression unyielding, as he grabbed her wrist. Aurora gasped, trying to pull away, but his grip only tightened. He pulled her out of the room, dragging her down the hallway.
"Leave me!" Aurora hit his back with her small palm, but it didn't even affect him. She was running behind him, struggling to keep up with his long strides. Her heart pounded in her chest, fear clawing at her sanity.
As they descended the stairs, Victor's pace quickened. Aurora stumbled, her feet barely touching the steps. "W-where a-are-" she stammered, but Victor cut her off mid-sentence.
"Don't you want to meet your parents?" he asked, his voice dripping with malice. Aurora's eyes widened in horror as her chin wobbled. She couldn't believe her ears.
"W-what?" she asked again, trying to pull away, but Victor's grasp remained unyielding. He dragged her down the dimly lit stairs, each step echoing through the silence.
Aurora's heart raced wildly, fear clawing at her chest. "N-n-no," she whispered, desperate. Victor's laughter sent shivers down her spine.
"You'll reunite with them soon enough," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. The stairs seemed endless, descending into darkness.
As they reached the bottom, the door creaked open, revealing a room shrouded in shadows. Aurora's eyes adjusted slowly, her gaze scanning the space. And then she saw them - her parents, gagged and bound, their eyes filled with tears.
Aurora's heart shattered into a million pieces. "N-n-no!" she screamed, trying to rush to her parents. But Victor's grip held her back.
"Welcome to the family reunion," he whispered, his breath cold against her ear. Aurora struggled, but Victor's hold was unbreakable. Her parents' desperate gazes met hers, filled with apologies and fear.
Aurora's world crumbled around her, Victor's sinister plans unfolding before her eyes.
Aurora's eyes were shedding tears as she begged, "Leave t-them, please." The muffled denial of her parents could be heard, their desperate cries echoing through the room. Victor's fingers trailed her back, sending shivers down her spine.
"Why?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
"I w-will do anything, p-please don't h-hurt them," Aurora stammered, her voice wobbling as fear took hold. Her eyes pleaded with Victor, desperate to save her parents.
Victor sighed, his expression feigning sadness. "But you already denied marrying me, right?" His tone dripped with malice, his eyes glinting with triumph.
Aurora sobbed loudly, her creaky voice echoing through the room. Her parents struggled harder, their desperation palpable. "I w-will marry y-you," she whispered timidly, her words barely audible.
Victor's eyes snapped towards her, his gaze piercing. "What did you say?" he asked, wanting to hear it again, to savor her surrender.
Aurora met his eyes, her hair standing on end due to extreme fear. "I will m-marry you," she stammered, her voice cracking. She couldn't complete her sentence, overcome by another wave of sobs.
Victor's gaze locked onto hers, his eyes gleaming with triumph. His smile widened, his fingers tracing her spine, sending shivers down her back. "Good girl," he whispered, his breath cold against her ear.
