"G-give me some t-time to think about it" she said as he hummed and tightened his grip a little around her shoulders. "What is the need to think sweetheart. You will marry me so why delay it?" He questioned her in a most softest tone but it was laced with a hint of warning.
"I-I ..m-me. I just n-need time to t-think about it. P-please" she requested as his eyes darkened a little. "No" he denied straightly as fresh tears welled up in her eyes. "P-please V-victor" a wave of electric current jolted in his body.
"Again" he said desperately. "Huh?!" She frowned. "Say my name again" he said while getting impatient. "V-victor" she says confusingly. "Again" she obeyed. "Fuck!" He muttered under his breath. "Fine you can take your time but not more than one week and remember I expect a positive answer from you" he said and she nodded timidly.
"Now go and freshen up" he said and brushed his fingers through her hairs before tugging a strand of hair behind her ear and in response she shivered as she nodded before entering inside the washroom. His gaze lingered on her skin like its ripping her soul apart.
Aurora went inside the washroom and closed the door behind her before sliding on the door. Soon a creaky sob escaped from her mouth followed by another.
"W-why?" She stuttered while wiping the tears but the more she wiped the more tears fell from her eyes
Aurora's body shook as she sobbed, her tears mingling with despair. She felt trapped, suffocated by Victor's suffocating grip."W-why me?" she whispered, her voice cracking.
She stumbled to the sink, grasping the countertop to steady herself. Her reflection stared back, eyes red-rimmed and puffy.Aurora splashed water on her face, trying to wash away the tears and the pain. But it only seemed to intensify her emotions.
Her reflection mocked her. Red and puffy eyes. Red cheeks due to wiping the tears harshly. Running nose and her wobbling chin. She hated herself for being this weak and vulnerable but whenever she tried to be strong after seeing him the braveness inside her ran away like it doesn't even exist.
She thought of Chris, wondering if he was safe. Was he still alive?
Aurora's sobs intensified, her body wracked with anguish. Aurora's skin crawled. She knew she couldn't hide in the washroom forever. "I need to escape" she thought in her mind but the events of today passed her like a traumatic nausea.
But that time her main concern was Chris but now she will escape again but alone. A lump formed in her throat before she gulped and took a deep breath to gather all the courage which had left inside her body. The rock size hard burden fade away a little after she took the breath.
She passed a glance to the door before taking steps ahead to face the worst nightmare of her life but this nightmare can let her to get out of this. A glimmer of hope reside in her of escaping but for that she need to find the back door of the house because she knows that the front door will be full of guards.
She stepped outside the door before entering inside his room again only to found no one making her to took a sigh of relief. She observed the room. Black and grey walls with white curtains. A wall size glass door that led to the attached balcony through which she can see the night.
Grey sheeted bed with white covers. 'Why no colours?' She thought and scrunched her nose. "He is a devil no no scary devil" she said and puffed her cheeks out. "Really?" She bitted her internally and turned around only to find him with a tray of food in his hand.
He come inside but when he found her observing the room he stopped and when she scrunched her nose he raised his eyebrows amusingly. She is like a open book to him he can tell by her expression and body language that what is going on in her mind.
