The darkness was suffocating, a heavy blanket that smothered him. The only sound was the steady beep of a machine, a monotone pulse that echoed through the silence.
Suddenly, a vision burst into his mind's eye. Aurora's face hovered above him, her eyes pleading, her skin pale. A faint smile crossed his lips as he reached out to touch her, but she vanished, dragged away by an unseen force.
Her cries echoed through his mind, desperate and terrified. "Let me go! Please, help me!" But his hands were frozen, his voice trapped in his throat. He was paralyzed, unable to move, unable to speak.
The vision shattered, and Victor's eyes snapped open, staring up at the sterile white ceiling of the hospital. His chest heaved, his heart racing with the vivid nightmare. The beeping sound was real, coming from the machines surrounding his bed.
He lay there, gasping for breath, his mind reeling with the memory of Aurora's terrified face. He knew he had to find her, had to save her. But how?
He removed the pipe from his hand as blood oozed out from the needle but he cared less. A white strip was wrapped around his forehead. The machines beeps as he throwed the covers.
"Ahh" he groaned loudly when a pain struck through the back side of his head. His shoulder was aching due to his vigorous movement but all in that moment he wanted nothing but
His Aurora.
The nurse widened her eyes seeing the animalistic behaviour of him. With fear in her eyes she muttered. "S-sir you need to r-rest" she said and Victor snapped his grey hazel on her which made her trembled like a leaf.
He couldn't remember what happened after that but all his mind is capable of remembering that last time she was gone by that girl named Ava.
"What date it is today?" He asked impatiently. The nurse cries out in fear. She tried to say something but nothing came out of her mouth. Victor being impatient threw the vase on the floor aggressively.
"Goddamit!" He yelled and looked around before finding his mobile there. He quickly held it. His chest was tightening and he was losing his ability to breath. Pressing the key button, her face flashed on the screen smiling sweetly that somehow calmed his nerves down.
His eyes went towards the current date and he couldn't help but felt immense anger on himself because one week passed.
Seven fucking days she is nowhere to be seen.
He held the phone tightly that cracks starts forming. Suddenly multiple steps heard and when he looked around. He found Daphene with multiple guards around her. He clenched his jaw and was ready to dashed towards her before she stated.
"Sir we have tracked the location of Ava. She is in Italy" Daphene informed trying to look fearless. Victor's jaw clenched like it is going to break. His veins popped as anger surged through them.
"Italy" he whispered and he knew who has taken Aurora.
"Damien fucking Cornwell" he said angrily.
Daphne's expression remained neutral, but her eyes flickered with a hint of concern. "Sir, we should—"
Victor's gaze cut her off, his eyes blazing with fury. "Get the jet ready," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "We leave now."
The guards shifted uncomfortably, exchanging nervous glances. Daphne's voice remained steady, but her words were laced with caution. "Sir, perhaps we should discuss a plan, consider the risks—"
Victor's laughter was cold and mirthless. "Risks?" he repeated, his voice dripping with venom. "You think I care about risks when Aurora's life is at stake?"
