The day came to an end as the last bell rang making the students to pack their stuff. Daphene scanned the whole area with her green cat eyes trying to detect any harm but none got suspected. She saw a boy with brown curls staring at Aurora's sad figure with tensed eyes but as soon as Daphene's eyes locked to his he tored his gaze away.

"Let's go" Aurora said and hooked her bag around her shoulder while smiling towards her making Daphene to grab her hand before she dragged her away. Aurora passed a glance towards Chris who avoided it like she doesn't exist and a pang of hurt crossed her heart.

"Daphene please let's wait here for a moment" Aurora pleaded while standing at the corridor waiting for Chris to come out. Daphene agreed before pulling her phone out and tapping a message and sending it quickly.
Sir, mam wants to meet Chris.

Her phone dinged with a notification as she quickly pulled it out and spare her attention. Let her see him. His reply was odd but she couldn't deny it and obeyed. Soon,Chris came out with Ava following him behind like a lost puppy as an annoyed look was spread over his face.

His eyes landed on Aurora as she smiled but it flatters a bit. He averted his gaze and was about to pass her before she stopped him. "Chris! Can we talk for a moment?" Aurora asked, her voice wobbled as he remembered that she sounded this much helpless when they tried to escape.

Ava glared at her sharply and tightened her fist around the hem of her skirt which was noticed by Daphene as she crosses her arms together catching Ava's eyes as they both glared at each other.

"Actually Aurora I w--" Chris was about to make an excuse. "Please I will not take much of your time. I-I just need to talk to you" Her voice turned hoarse as her chin wobbled seeing him fine after the merciless beating by his men.

"Are you deaf? When he doesn't want to talk to you why are you forcing him?" Ava spatted angrily and loudly making Aurora to flinched. She is not used to bear someone talking loudly with rage. It somehow made her uncomfortable. "And who are you to interrupt between us?" Chris said not liking the way of her talking towards Aurora.

Daphene smirked as Ava gritted her teeth in anger seeing Chris defending Aurora even after she spent a month with Chris trying to distract him from thinking about her but the little did she know that Chris often payed visits to Amanda and Sameul always asking about her.

"Come Aurora we can go to library" Chris said grabbing her hand softly before starts going towards the library followed by Ava but she got halted by a sharp grip on her arm that made her almost cry. "We are not going to follow them, do we?" Daphene said in mocking tone as a scowl appeared on Ava's face before she jerked her hand off and went outside while stomping her feet leaving Daphene alone who busied herself in her phone.

"I thought h-he killed you. I was so worried" Aurora said as her eyes got teary when she remembered the worst thing she imagined in the past month. They sat in the bench across from each other as Chris swallowed the lump forming in his throat.

"Are you mad at me?" Aurora asked while sniffing a bit as he shooked his head in denial with a stiff manner trying hard not to be appear soft. "Then why are you ignoring me? Did I do something?" Aurora said not being able to bear the silence he chooses to provide out of nowhere.

"I just dont have the mood Aurora and you didn't did anything" he said and made him to sound like annoyed. "I'm s-sorry if I offended you. Please forgive me B-but talk to me Chris please" a wrecked sob escaped her mouth as she felt herself getting ripped apart. She doesn't know why he is ignoring her but she is sure that there must be a valid reason behind it.
