Victor held Aurora's limp body in his arms, her chest rising and falling with each shallow breath. Her eyes were closed, and her movements had halted, as if she'd retreated into a deep, dark abyss.
The words she'd whispered still echoed in his mind, cutting through his heart like a razor-sharp blade: "Please leave me, I hate you." Victor's eyes stung as he felt a lump form in his throat. He tried to push aside the anguish, focusing on bringing Aurora back to him.
"Aurora," he whispered, his voice cracking as he patted her cheeks, trying to rouse her. "Open your eyes, baby. Please, little star, come back to me." His voice trembled, and his hands shook as he held her.
Just then, her chest jerked violently, and a warm, crimson liquid trickled from her mouth. Victor's eyes widened in horror as he watched, frozen, as the blood flowed from her lips. His mind reeled as he remembered the brutal kick she'd endured, the trauma she'd suffered.
Without wasting a minute Victor rushed towards the car to reach medical but his body was shaking with immense fear.
Fear of not seeing her like before
Fear of her hating him.
Fear of losing her.
Without hesitation, the medical team rushed forward, gently prying Aurora from Victor's grasp. He felt a pang of desperation as they whisked her away, disappearing behind the swinging hospital doors.
Victor stood numb, his eyes fixed on the spot where Aurora had vanished. He felt lost, disconnected from reality. The sounds around him – the beeping machines, the murmured conversations – faded into the background as he struggled to process the chaos within him.
His eyes remained fixed on the blank wall, his mind replaying the events that had led to this moment. The anguish, the fear, the desperation – it all swirled together, threatening to consume him.
Suddenly multiple footsteps echoed, his ears ringed with them. His eyes lazily went towards the sound and with jerk his collar was grabbed by someone.
The raging Sameul
Victor's eyes remained fixed on Samuel, his expression unreadable as the older man's fingers dug into his collar. The accusation and anger in Samuel's eyes were palpable, but Victor didn't flinch.
"I swear I will kill you if something happened to my daughter," Samuel snarled, his face inches from Victor's.
Amanda intervened, her voice calm and soothing as she tried to pry Samuel away. "Calm down, Samuel. Let's not jump to conclusions."
Samuel's glare lingered on Victor for a moment before Amanda managed to pull him back. Victor's gaze followed them, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched Samuel's anger simmer just below the surface.
Amanda's eyes met Victor's briefly, a flicker of concern and curiosity crossing her face before she turned away, her attention focused on the closed door behind which the doctors were tending to Aurora.
"Sit down, Samuel," Amanda said, her voice firm but gentle, as she guided him toward a nearby chair. Samuel's eyes never left Victor's face, his jaw clenched in a mixture of anger and fear.
After some minutes the door opened and a person in white coat came out.
Victor stood infront of him surrounded by Sameul and Amanda.
"She is fine right? Nothing happened to her tell me" he bombarded her with questions as the doctor sighed racing his heart beat.
"She has Subdural Hematoma"
