Ken's POV
Thoughts had raced my head going back to weeks ago when we had all enrolled the kids in school, When Kenston joined the wrestling team, How he'd seem irritable and so much more. I knew Kenston had been acting strange for weeks But Toni and I never imagined it would come to this.
The drive to the hospital was a blur, filled with frantic thoughts and silent prayers. When we arrived, We had to wait in the emergency waiting room and fill out some papers.
4 hours later, We got called to the back to see Kenston and when I seen the sight of Kenston lying unconscious on the hospital bed was almost too much to bear. His pale face and the beeping machines were a stark contrast to the vibrant, athletic boy I knew.
We told the kids to stay at the house to watch Kaiya, Kensley and Kenji until Tamar came to watch them but I was so furious and needed to know answers. I called Tamar and told her to bring KJ, Tianna and Teyanna to the hospital immediately so that we could talk. Because if the police or any other authority came up on Toni and I, we'd be clueless but the kids knew exactly what was going on.
I had already called Tracey and luckily we was in Seattle doing some work so she wasn't to far away to catch a flight and get here fast. I'm sure she was already here because she could catch a flight with her private jet immediately especially because something happened to our son.
As we waited for news from the doctors, Me and Toni's emotions boiled over and when the kids arrived it was worse. We asked to go somewhere private to talk to the kids and when they said and I closed the door. All hell broke loose.
I looked at the kids and there was guilt written all over their faces.
"Now Why the fuck didn't anyone tell us?!"I shouted, my voice cracking with a mix of anger and fear."You all knew he was taking steroids and didn't say anything?"
Tianna started to cry, and KJ looked down at his feet, unable to meet my eyes."We thought he could handle it," KJ mumbled. "We didn't want to get him in trouble."
"Trouble?"Toni's voice was sharp. "He's lying in a hospital bed because of this! Do you understand how serious this is?" Her eyes were filled with tears, and the stress of the situation was palpable.
Just then, the doors swung open, and in walked Tracey, her face a mask of worry and anger. She took one look at the scene and turned on me."This is your damn fault! You're an unfit father!" She screamed out of anger because I knew damn well I wasn't unfit like her damn wig. "How could you let this happen to our son?"
My face twisted with pain and frustration. "Don't you dare put this shit on me," I shot back. "We were doing our best, but the kids didn't tell us what was going on!"
