KJ's POV
My parents left for Atlanta because of some emergency so they left me in charge of everyone. But I couldn't really give any fucks. Everyone was doing what they wanted to why I was in my room fucking the shit out of Ava.
Ava screamed for me to stop as I rammed into her body. She squirmed and tried to push me out of her but I kept going until I finished.
When we were done I went to get a towel to clean us both off. When I got back that's exactly what I did and I laid in bed with her. I sat up against my headboard while Ava laid on my check. I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my blunt and lit it, passing it to Ava.
"I'm gonna have to go"
"Why you wanna leave so soon?"
"I got stuff to do KJ"
"I thought you said your dad is out of town and you don't work today"
"I did but I got some work to do for science class"
"Didn't we finish that at school"
"KJ Nevermind that, I gotta go"
"Just wait, finish the blunt with me then you can go home"
Ava sighed but took another hit from the blunt. "Alright, but just for a few more minutes."
I watched her inhale deeply, her eyes closing as she savored the smoke."You know," I said, exhaling a cloud of smoke,"I don't get why you're always in such a rush. We barely get time like this together."
She handed the blunt back to me. "It's not that I don't want to be here, KJ. It's just... I have responsibilities too, you know?"
I nodded, taking another drag. "Yeah, I get it. But sometimes it feels like you're always running away from something."
Ava sat up, her expression softening. "I'm not running away from you. I just have a lot on my plate right now."
I put out the blunt and pulled her closer."Alright, but promise me you'll take some time for yourself too. You deserve it."
She smiled and kissed my cheek. "I will.."
As she got dressed and gathered her things, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more she wasn't telling me. But I decided to let it go for now."Text me when you get home, okay?"
"Will do," she said, giving me one last kiss before heading out the door.
I laid back on my bed, staring at the ceiling. There was something about Ava that always left me wanting more, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Maybe one day, she'd let me in completely. Until then, I'd just have to be patient.
I got up and took a warm water shower it helped me relax, washing away some of the tension and confusion.
Once I was done, I wrapped himself in a towel and got dressed before heading downstairs. The smell of something cooking drew me to the kitchen, where I found Teyanna rummaging through the fridge.
"Hey, Tey," I greeted her, leaning against the counter.
She looked up and smiled. "Hey, KJ. You hungry? I'm about to make a sandwich."
"Maybe later," I replied, taking a seat at the kitchen island."I actually wanted to talk to you about something."
Teyanna raised an eyebrow as she pulled out some ingredients. "What's up?"
"It's about Ava" I began, watching her reaction closely. He smile immediately went to a frown. "You mentioned you didn't get a good feeling about her. Why is that?"
Teyanna sighed, setting the bread and deli meat on the counter. "It's just... something feels off about her. I can't put my finger on it, but there's this vibe I get whenever she's around."
I frowned, leaning forward. "What kind of vibe?"
"Like she's hiding something,"Teyanna explained, assembling her sandwich."She's overly friendly, but it feels forced, you know? And she's always deflecting when you ask her personal questions."
I nodded slowly. "Yeah, I've noticed that too. She got this weird package the other day and wouldn't tell me what it was. And she's always on her phone but never lets me see who she's talking to."
"Exactly."Teyanna said, pointing at me with a slice of cheese. "It's like she's keeping secrets. And not the harmless kind."
I ran a hand through my damp hair, feeling a knot of worry in my stomach."I really like her.. Maybe I should give her some space and see if she opens up on her own."
Teyanna shrugged, taking a bite of her sandwich."That might work, but just be careful, KJ. Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't."
I sighed, feeling more conflicted than ever. "I just don't want to seem paranoid, but I can't shake this feeling that something's off."
"You're not being paranoid,"Teyanna assured him. "You're being cautious. There's a difference."
KJ nodded, appreciating her support. "Thanks, Tey. I'll keep that in mind."
"Anytime" she replied with a smile.
"Oh yeah KJ"
"Yeah?"
"Maybe start screenshotting you and her messages before anything does down, record y'all calls or record y'all conversations anytime yall meet. Ti and I aren't lying to you. Watch that girl KJ."
I nodded my head in agreement. I thought Tey was a little paranoid but I mean nothing bad is going to happen. Ava wouldn't do anything for trouble to start would she? I shrugged it off and chuckled, as I headed back upstairs.
