I wake up in possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever been in. I didn't think it was possible to top my bed at the temple, but this one definitely does. I almost don't want to open my eyes. But then I realize I wasn't in a bed before. My eyes pop open and I sit upright quickly. I'm in a large bed surrounded by black velvet curtains that are drawn open. The blankets are a smooth black that caress my skin.
"Ah...you're awake now," says that sexy voice.
I look over and see him standing there looking at papers strewn across a desk. He is a vision. His hair is down to the middle of his shoulders and he has discarded the long coat and is just in a tanktop and the pants and boots he wss in earlier. Multiple tattoos ripple across his muscled torso and I can't believe I'm staring again. Why am I so hot for this guy? Is it the pregnancy hormones? Yeah, that's what we will blame it on for now.
Since I haven't answered, he turns to me and it doesn't help my stunned silence. His red eyes stare at me as he crosses the several feet away he is and comes to stand beside the bed.
"How are you feeling?" He asks me.
"What?" I ask after I shake away the dirty thoughts swirling on my head.
He smiles at me and points to the top of his hand. I suddenly remember and look at my own. I flinch when I see nothing there. I grab my hand and look at my forearm, my burns are completely gone! Like they never existed in the first place. I pull the covers off of me and bring my feet up. They don't have a scratch on them.
"My blood has healing effects. When I smeared it on you, it began healing your injuries immediately. You were getting a fever from the infection," he says to me.
I look up at him stunned, "that's amazing! You should bottle that up and sell it."
He chuckles at me. A deep sound from his tones chest. "I do to am extent. I exchange it for information on the other Regions. Lucifer is one of the ones I do it with," he says.
"I see...thank you..." I say and trail off.
He stares at me for a long time before he scrunches his dark brows together. "What are you doing here Lunella?" He asks me.
"Its Luna, and I told you already," I say to him.
He shakes his head, the piercings in his ears glinting in the faint glow of light from a lamp on the desk. "No I mean, what are you doing in Ember? You aren't supposed to be here," he says to me.
I flinch. "How do you know I'm not supposed to be here? Have you been spying on me?"
I get defensive and scoot away from him as he sits on the bed. He sighs and looks away. "It would seem you have forgotten since being here. I can't say I'm not relieved though; I thought you were dead," he says as he looks up at the ceiling.
"What are you talking about? We haven't met before. Right?" I ask him, bringing my legs up to cross them.
