I flutter my eyes open and see Jin out on the balcony looking over his Region. I stretch and get up from the bed, careful in my movements. My nightgown slinks over my form as I shiver from the slight breeze coming from outside. I rub my eyes with my hand as I walk over to Jin.
"Jin? What are you doing?" I ask him as I make padding sounds with my bare feet on the floor.
"Oh, Ella baby, why are you up?" he asks me as he looks down at me.
"Im getting beaten up from the inside and cant sleep," I tell him with a smile.
He bends down to kneel in front of me and he places both of his hands on either side of my swollen belly. I am six months along now, and these two were relentless in their kicking.
"Hey guys, we talked about this. Your mother needs to sleep all she can because she sure isn't going to when you get here," he tells my belly, and two little feet kick out quickly in response.
I laugh and place my hand in his hair and run my fingers through it as he talks to them. "Come on, do it for your dad," he tells them and they kick in response to him. "Listen, I know you two are royalty and all but you still have to listen to your father," he says and they still. He waits a few moments before he plants a kiss on my belly and lifts himself up to stand in front of me. "Those two are going to be Hell on us aren't they?" he asks me.
"Probably," I say with a smile. Jin leans his head down to give me a sweet and loving kiss. When we seperate, I notice in his face that something is bothering him. "Whats the matter?"
"Nothing love," he says quickly.
"Now Jin, we dont do secrets," I scold him and grab his shirt to pull him towards me.
He sighs and looks down at me with concern. "Two people from the Light Region have entered our barriers and surrendered themselves to us," he says.
"That doesn't seem so bad," I tell him. "At least they surrendered."
"Yeah, but what for is what I'm worried about. The troops stationed there sent word that they wanted an audience with us. They are going through rigorous checks. I am not sure who they are but it worries me that they want to meet with us," he explains to me.
"Darling, it could be nothing but humans trying to escape from there. The Light Region is a terrible place for humans," I tell him.
"You could be right love, I am probably worried for nothing," he says.
"You always are worried about the safety of your people and your family. That is not nothing. The least we could do though as good Royals is to hear them out. If they seem fine and safe for our people then we can grant them sanctuary in our Region. If not, then we send them back. Piece of cake," I say as I try to calm him.
"Gods im lucky to have you," he says as he bends down to plant another kiss on my lips.
