There are tons of things I missed being out for three days by Ella's bedside. I am going through paperwork in the throne room as Rev and Luka explain to me what I have missed and the decisions they made in my absence. Azrael and Pan are discussing their own matters and the matters of the humans in our territory when the double doors open.
We turn our heads to see Roc there. He strolls in as if he is a king himself.
"What can we do for you Roc?" Rev asks him.
"Is Lunella alright?" I ask getting worried that's why he is here.
"She is fine. Her and Coralie are in her bed with flowers and other party shit," he tells me as he strolls up to us.
"Then what is it?" I ask.
"I think you're Queen is the Goddess in the prophecy. I think she is the Uniter," he says and the whole room erupts in laughter.
"You can't possibly mean that old folklore about one woman to rule the nation, right?" Pan says with a laugh.
"That's just an old fairytale parents tell their children," Azrael laughs.
"No, it isn't. I think she is the one," Roc says seriously.
"Lunella is a strong Goddess sure, but she isn't a ruler. She has never been a part of court life or ruled over anything but herself and some school age children," I say.
"I think you all are wrong. Look at her creatures for instance. How can one woman be able to tame a dragon, three wolves and a Shadow Dog and have them follow her around like lost puppies," Roc explains.
"While that is extraordinary, I don't think it merits that she is the Uniter?" Luka says.
"Ok then, how about the fact that everyone falls in love with her and is instantly at ease when she is around?" He asks us.
"I'm not in love with her," Pan interjects.
"Neither am I," Luka says plainly.
"Not in love with her romantically like King Jin, but you two can't deny you love her in some way or another. Whether it be as a sister or friend. For fucks sake, even I adore her like a sister and I'm not a fan of most people!" Roc exclaims. He points to Azrael, "your father loved her enough to help her escape the Gods territory. You can't tell me your father would do that for just anyone, especially considering he drained a Goddess or two himself when there were many around!"
Azrael regards him for a few minutes, soaking in that information. "He does have a point. Lucifer isn't known to be kind or caring by any means. I am his own son, and I don't think he likes me very much," he says as he brings a hand to his chin to think.
"But that doesn't mean she's the Uniter," Rev says.
