Act Five: Chapter IX: Smoke And Mirrors

Alex was analysing the blood on the ground as he can use the assassin's blood to find Ra's Al Ghul. He was looking around the museum until Ambrose contacted William and Marie as he spoke to them.

Alex: Change of plan. I'm going after the League of Assassins.

William: [On Radio] Wait why? What have they got to do with all this?

Marie: [On Radio] Wait a minute. . . . Is this about Ra's or Talia?

Alex: Penguin had one of the League's assassins imprisoned in the museum. I recognized the insignia. She's a member of Talia's elite guard.

William: [On Radio] I knew it. . . . . Alex, you know Talia and Ra's very well and you know how dangerous both of them are.

Marie: [On Radio] Not to mention Talia almost brainwashed you into joining the league seven years ago. Alex, you need to stay away from them.

Alex: I know. I've uploaded Freeze's unfinished cure and the answer is-

William: [On Radio] Found in Ra's Al Ghul's blood. [Sighs] Okay Alex, I guess you need to go after him,

Marie: [On Radio] But please be careful.

Alex nodded and disconnected the transmission until he heard someone speaking to him as he turned around and saw Freeze as he spoke to him.

Freeze: Are you sure this man can provide the missing ingredient?

Alex: I've met Ra's Al Ghul many times. He claims to be over six hundred years old and I believe him. Which means something is keeping him alive.

Freeze: Let us hope you are correct, Batman. After all, your life depends on it.

Alex nodded and began walking up the stairs as he opened the door and exited the museum. He began following the blood trail until Ambrose intercepted a broadcast and began listening to a conversation.

Inmate: [On Radio] Can anyone hear me? Over.

Inmate: [On Radio] I hear you. It's chaos here. The boss has vanished.

Inmate: [On Radio] What?! Where'd Penguin go?

Inmate: [On Radio] No idea. One minute he was all "Batman's going in my trophy case", the next, nothing. Zip. I don't like it.

Inmate: [On Radio] Do you think he's dead? Did Batman kill him? Have you been back to the museum?

Inmate: [On Radio] The museum's locked down. Those undercover cops have taken over. I knew we should've killed them.

Inmate: [On Radio] So what's the plan?

Inmate: [On Radio] Lay low. See any of Joker's crew. Kill them.

The transmission ended as Alex continued following the blood trail and grappled towards the rooftops as he continued moving forward while he saw TYGER Helicopters flying around the sky and monitoring the city. He continued moving forward until the vigilante received a voicemail and began listening to the message.

Voice Mail: You have one missed call

Joker: Ring, ring. I was just remembering when it first occurred to me. It was about one year after you left me on that rooftop back at the asylum. As the bones knitted back together I had plenty of time to think. So how do you keep a secret from the World's Greatest Detective? Well, do you know? It's easy. You stick it right in front of him. Right under his long pointy nose and wait. [Laughs]

The voicemail ended and Alex made it to another rooftop and saw a couple of bandages covered in blood on the ground as he said something to himself.

Alex: The blood trail has run out. The only way I'm going to find that assassin is to locate more evidence.
