[WARNING: Murder and Angst ahead, ichor as blood kinda :3 ]

It had all been a misunderstanding! Glisten tried to convince himself of that, tried to tell himself that this was all a bad dream that he'd wake up from any second now. That he'd gasp, pull off the sheets and run into Rodger's arms the second he could. But the sight below only made it harder to believe, made him remember what he'd done to his lover.

The floor had started like any other. The party of toons, including Rodger, were descending the floors in search of ichor and twisteds. Glisten happened to be one of the twisteds that had spawned, and seeing his and Rodger's past relationship, it was no surprise that the detective ended up trailing after the twisted for most of the floor.

"It's you! Stay close, please..." Glisten had spoken, he had begged Rodger. Glisten didn't want to be alone in the dark again, without company, without Rodger.

"I won't leave you, I promise. Just calm down, dear." Rodger had spoken in that calm tone he usually carried, though the sorrow behind it made the twisted wince at the memory.

Glisten remembered the growing stress in his chest when he heard the machines pop one by one, but he'd managed to stay calm. That was, until, he noticed Rodger had wandered away from him. Glisten hadn't noticed at first, poor vision due to resisting the ichor made it hard to tell. Glisten felt panic fill his heart, fear and worry bundling into a rage he could compare to no other. Rodger lied, he promised he would stay! Glisten was steadily losing his mind, and hearing the final machine pop with completion was enough to put him over the edge.

Glisten ran through the floor, growing ever more desperate to find someone, anyone, and keep them with him. He had to, he couldn't be alone. Not again, not for so long. Glisten spotted Rodger, near the elevator, and he barely thought before he leapt at the detective.

Glisten didn't expect what had happened next, he'd forgotten how sharp his body had become. He'd forgotten how easily he lost control of his strength, of his raw power. Glisten grabbed Rodger, tackling him to the floor. Glisten froze when he heard the distinct sound of glass shattering, and he slowly pulled his hands back to reveal Rodger's shattered lens, his eye fading away with his life.

"R-Rodger? Wake up! Come on, baby, this isn't funny! You can't be dead! Please! I'm sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen! I'm sorry... Come back!"

Glisten screamed, ichor falling onto Rodger's corpse. Glisten picked Rodger's cooling body up, cradling him with terror in his heart. Glisten was shaking as he desperately felt for a heartbeat in the body of his lover, but nothing could be felt. Glisten felt weak sobs escape him as the elevator door slammed shut.

This could never be undone. Glisten had murdered Rodger, in an act of rage and sorrow that he could never take back. Glisten pleaded to the stars above, though nothing answered. Nothing ever would in this cursed place. Glisten pulled ichor from his shattered face, pressing it into the cracks of Rodger's glass in a desperate attempt to fix him, though Rodger's body simply melted away into nothing but a puddle of ichor. The twisted was alone yet again to ponder what he had done, and the violence he'd let consume his soul.
