Rodger was never usually the type to steal clothes. Of course not! He was a detective, he couldn't just take things like that! But... Glisten had been busy, going to bed later. Rodger understood, he was one of the main stars in one of the new films the studio was putting out.
But, at the same time, Rodger couldn't help but miss Glisten a bit. Miss the mirror toon wandering into his office to pester him, miss Glisten correcting his posture and cleaning away the smudges on his glass. Most recently, it had been Glisten's smell that Rodger had been missing. Despite his lack of a nose, Rodger knew Glisten had a signature scent. He couldn't figure out what it was for the life of him, Glisten hid the bottle like a diamond worth millions.
As he and Glisten usually shared a bed, Glisten's smell was on his pillows. Faintly floral, maybe something vaguely vanilla, but not quite. It was sweet, a touch floral too. But, due to Glisten's busy schedule, the scent was nearly gone, and Glisten hadn't been up to cuddling. It was starting to prove a problem, keeping Rodger up at night. Knowing his beloved was out and about, stressing himself, was enough to keep his mind busy. Rodger needed a little piece of Glisten, just to help curb his desire to bury his face in the crook of Glisten's neck and give him a firm squeeze.
Rodger snuck into Glisten's room. Of course, the mirror toon wasn't there, he was out doing other things. Rodger would smile if he could, the familiar warm sense filling his heart. Rodger checked over his shoulder before moving to Glisten's drawers, pulling out a blue knotted sweater. One of Glisten's favorites, he wore it plenty. Hence why it was going to be the one Rodger took.
Rodger slipped on the sweater. It was still warm from the dryer, but Glisten's scent was on it. The one Rodger loved so dearly... Wait, it was warm from the dryer? Rodger blinked in realization as he heard the opening of the door, and Glisten's pause before the sweet sound of his lover's laughter filled the air.
"Rodger, what are you doing? Stealing my sweaters? I never took you as the type!" Glisten sounded amused, a basket of laundry in his arms. Glisten set it down on the bed, before wandering over to Rodger. The detective blushed, as much as a magnifying glass could, with embarrassment. He couldn't believe he was caught so soon.
"I'm not stealing! I am borrowing it, and I missed you. It smells like you." Rodger sighed. Glisten's arms were around Rodger after a few seconds, though it instantly made Rodger melt. Rodger, while he wasn't exactly clingy, liked to be around Glisten. He couldn't do that on set, and case files could only keep a man so occupied.
"Sure, sure. Just give it back when you're done, or I'll take your wolf shirt. Hm?"
Glisten pulled out of the hug, smiling. He took a bottle off the dresser, spritzing it onto Rodger's chest. Rodger felt confused before he noticed a comforting scent in the air, Glisten's perfume. Rodger leaned over, trying to see the bottle, but Glisten pulled it away in almost a teasing manner.
"Ah, ah! It wouldn't be so special if just anyone could have my perfume, would it? So, you get a little spritz."
"Fine," Rodger sighed. He leaned over a bit, tapping his frame against Glisten's as he put the bottle in a drawer. Rodger still appreciated the smell of it, of his lover. Glisten looked back to the pile of warm laundry, settled in a basket on his bed.
"Want to help me get this done?"
"Of course, my dear. Anything for you."
