I feel the gentle tugging of the sleeve of my leather jacket mina forced me into, pulling me from my daze, to find soft purple eyes staring back into my silver ones. a small smile upturns the corner of her lips as the neon lights of the city around us illuminate her bright features.

she doesn't say a word as she gives me a small pat on the shoulder and walks in slow steps next to me. mina, uraraka, asui and momo walk excitedly ahead of us talking in the night life that surrounds us.

the whispers that normally overtake my every waking thought are pushed to the edge of my mind as the night life's sounds overtake the ones that echo inside.

i watch as mina quickly turns around and skips in our direction with her usual cheesy grin plastered across her face.

"c'mon slow pokes!" she grabs onto jirou's hand and the cuff of my sleeve as she pulls us quickly towards the other girls who are waiting ahead. my eyes catch the bright green lettering that stands against the white background with slight confusion.

"um where have you taken us uraraka?" i turn slowly to meet the short girls doe like eyes, a mischievous look swirling within them.

"a place where we can get some stress relief one might call it," she turns on a heel and struts through the glass door without another look back at us. asui follows right behind as mina giggles in excitement at her side. jirou gives me a shrug before following while momo and i cautiously walk in together.

"did you like make a reservation already," the teenage worker doesn't look any older than the rest of us, a bored look turning her eyes downward as she leans her head against her cheek.

"yes i did, it should be under uraraka ochako." the worker lets out a low sigh as she slowly types in uraraka's name into her computer. i look at mina with confusion once again as she begins to nearly jump around with excitement it's evidently difficult for her to contain.

"just sign these forms and then someone will like, give you the suits to wear in the room." she hands uraraka six papers with pens before moving from behind the desk and around the corner to the long hallway off to the side. the sounds of distant yelling and the smashing of various items trudges up some flashes of him.

my heartbeat quickens beneath my ribs and my hands tremble at the memories. i feel my skin begin to prick with heat where the scars of blue flames lie beneath the clothing that hides them.

a soft hand grips onto my shoulder, pulling me from the thoughts. i look up and am met with those soft purple eyes once again. jirou doesn't say a word as she slowly takes in a deep breath and nods towards me to do the same.

inhale.

hold.

the flames.

exhale.

hold.

the pain.

inhale.

hold.

the touch of his skin.

exhale.

hold.

so gentle.

with every breath, the memories fade from horrific blue flames to the warmth of his gentle touch.

my heart slightly aches at his words from the other night but the trembling of my fingers stops as i slowly let go of my tight grip on the jacket. i look back up at jirou who gives me yet another smile, all without saying a word.

the gesture of not asking millions of questions gives me all the comfort i need in this moment. mina's pink curls peak out from behind jirou's shoulder, holding the paper the worker asked us to sign in one hand and two small black foam ear plugs. i feel the corners of my lips slightly turn upwards, a warm feeling replacing the ache.

i don't have time to say anything before mina plunges them into my ears, silencing the loud crashes and yells that fill the room.

we all sign the liability papers, get suited into safety gear, then are lead into the rage room.

i watch as the girls rush over to the weapons rack in the corner of the room. mina has a bat in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other as she makes her way towards me.

she shoves the bat into the palm of my hand and leans close to my ear.

"you're safe here, so don't be afraid to loose." i still at her words and my eyes widen slightly. she pulls back with a reassuring look in her dark eyes that tell me she means every word.

she lets out a yell as she jumps to bash into a wooden box, quickly turning it to splinters. the other girls do the same as they begin throwing things against the wall or using their bludgeoning weapons to smash some furniture.

a dark purple side table stares back at me as memories of dabi's burn scars churns my stomach as rage bubbles beneath my skin. i feel my skin heat as i grip hard into the handle of the bat.

i let the anger begin to overtake my thoughts.

a familiar feeling i had when i watched that nomu beat into bakugou.

my mind reels at the memories of his touch.

i miss it.

a tear prickles my bottom lash as i bite harshly into my quivering lip. i pull the bat back behind me as i loom over the table before it morphs into the villain i wish i could burn from my mind.

the sinister smile that haunts every moment i close my eyes as it hides in the shadows of my mind when i'm awake.

i hate it.

and my vision turns red.
