Meeting Frigga

Chapter 8 (Meeting Frigga)

Serenity asked, "Will I be staying with you tonight?" Loki said, "Yes, you will but you will not be sleeping on the couch. I'm not going to having you uncomfortable." Serenity said, "But your father said for me to sleep on the couch." Loki said with a sly grin, "What my father doesn't know won't hurt him." Loki pulls her close to him and holds her in his arms. "You are so beautiful, you know that." Serenity smiles shyly at him. "I love that sweet shy smile of yours. It just does something to me." Loki started to lean over to kiss her when he heard someone coming. "Damn, who is that?" Loki looks up to see who was coming their direction. It was his mother with a nightgown in hand.

Frigga said, "Here you are Loki. I have been looking for you and Serenity. I have a nightgown for her." Frigga holds up the nightgown. It was a light pink nightgown with gold trim around the neck, arms and bottom of it. Serenity said, "Oh, that's beautiful Queen Frigga." Frigga smiled warmly and said, "Please call me Frigga. Odin has told me that you and Loki are getting married very soon." Loki said, "Yes, mother we are, and I can hardly wait." Frigga said, "She will make a lovely bride my son. I imagine that your parents are pleased." Serenity drops her head in shame. Loki said, "Mother, please Serenity isn't very close to her parents. In fact, they forbid us to get married, but father had already blessed the union. So, they couldn't do anything about it." Frigga said, "Oh, I'm so sorry dear. I didn't know. Please forgive me." Serenity said, "No, it's ok. You didn't know." Frigga walks up and puts her hand on Serenity's shoulder to try and comfort her. Serenity looked up at Frigga and gave her a soft smile. "Thank you, Queen Frigga." Frigga said, "I thought I told you to call me Frigga." Serenity smiles and said, "Thank you Frigga." Frigga said, "That's better dear." She hands the nightgown to Serenity. "I hope you enjoy living here at the palace dear." Serenity said with a soft smile, "Thank you again." Frigga nods her head yes.

Loki said, "Yes, thank you mother for bringing the nightgown so quickly. We appreciate it." Frigga said, "You are very welcome. I'm glad that I could be of some service but how are you planning on getting her clothes from Olympus if she and her parents are not on speaking terms?" Loki said, "We will figure something out, mother. If all else fails, we will have our royal dressmaker make her a whole new wardrobe." Frigga said, "Well, I'm going to bed my dears, and I suggest that you do the same. It's getting late." Loki said, "Yes, of course mother. We will head to bed here in a little while. Good night mother." Serenity said, "Good night, Frigga." Frigga smiled and said, "Good night my dears, sleep well."
