The Dressmaker Arrives

Chapter 19

Serenity looks up at Loki, "You do believe me when I say nothing happened between Thor and me, don't you?" Loki looks into Serenity's eyes, "Yes, I believe you baby. I'm sorry that my father upset you and made you run away." Serenity said looking down, "No, he had every right to be angry. I didn't do as he wished." Loki pulls Serenity into his arms, "You don't have to do as he said. He's just a grumpy old man with no life of his own." Serenity responds, "No, he's the All Father. I should have done as he asked." Loki couldn't stand to see Serenity so upset. "Baby, please don't be upset. My father has strange ways. You will just have to get used to him and you will after we are married." Serenity asked, "Do you think that he will still allow us to get married?" Loki said, "I like to see him try and stop us. We are getting married no matter what, darling." Serenity said, "But what if....." Loki cuts her off, "No dear, there is no buts. We ARE getting married no matter what my father says."

Just then Frigga walks into Thor's chambers, "So, this is everybody got off too. Serenity, dear Odin wanted me to tell you that he has sent the royal dressmaker to Loki's room. So, if you will come with me dear, we will get you some new clothes." Serenity said, "Yes, your majesty." Frigga said, "Dear, you don't have to call me your majesty. We will be family very soon. Remember dear, you are marrying Loki and soon you will be a member of the royal family." Serenity said, "Yes, your maj..." Frigga smiles, "Just call me Frigga for now dear. Then you may call me mother after you and Loki are married, if you want to." Serenity said, "Thank you, Frigga." Frigga smiles at Serenity. "So, come now dear. Let's get you some brand-new clothes." Serenity nods her head yes. Then she leaves with Frigga to go back to Loki's chamber. Loki said, "Wait for me, mother. I'm coming too." Frigga looks back at Loki, "Are you sure, son? It might be a bit boring to you to watch the dressmaker design Serenity's clothes." Loki said, "I'm sure mother. I want to see the clothes that the dressmaker is going to make for my future wife." Frigga said, "Very well then son. Let's go to your chambers."

Frigga, Serenity and Loki walked to Loki's chambers where the dressmaker would come to make Serenity some new clothes. Just as they enter Loki's chambers, the dressmaker arrives. The dressmaker addresses Frigga, "My queen, I'm here to make the prince's future wife some new clothes." Frigga said, "Enter my dear. Serenity is over there." Frigga motioned towards Serenity, who was standing beside Loki. The dressmaker walks over to Serenity, "My lady, if you will come with me, I will take your measurements." Serenity went with the dressmaker, and they walked into Loki's bedroom. There the dressmaker proceeded to take Serenity's measurements. Frigga and Loki followed the dressmaker and Serenity. Frigga asks the dressmaker, "Dear, can you make some beautiful dresses for her?" The dressmaker said, "Of course, your majesty. She is quite small and petite, but I won't have any problems in making her some dresses." Frigga smiled and said, "Excellent my dear. Loki and I will leave you to your work." The dressmaker said, "I am finished now, my queen. All I have to do now is go and make some dresses for her, which should take me about eight hours or so, depending on how many dresses you want her to have, my queen." Frigga said, "I want her to have as many dresses as you can make for her. In different colors and styles. I want her to have a large variety to choose from." The dressmaker said, "In that case, it may take me a little bit longer, my queen." Frigga said, "That will be ok my dear. Just when you get a few dresses made, please bring them to Serenity so she might change her clothes." The dressmaker said, "Yes, your majesty." Then the dressmaker leaves Loki's chambers to go and make the dresses for Serenity.
