Loki and Serenity Together Again

Chapter 24

Serenity tells Loki, "You can put me down now. They're gone." Loki said, "No, I don't think so, darling. I'm going to carry you back to my chambers where you will be safe." Odin looked at Loki and said, "I'm sorry son, that Aphrodite and Hermes were able to get their hands on Serenity." Loki stares at his father, "If you had let her stay with me, then this wouldn't have happened." Odin said, "Perhaps son, but I thought I was doing what was best. Had I known that they were attempting to kidnap her, then I would have allowed her to stay with you or at least allowed her to come with you when I summoned you." Loki said, "Well, it's a little too late for that father. Aphrodite slapped Serenity leaving a mark on her." Odin said, "So, I see son. Again, I'm sorry for that." Serenity said, "It's not your fault All Father. You didn't know that they would sneak back into Asgard." Odin smiles at Serenity, "Thank you Serenity but as the All Father, I should have been more diligent in this matter." Loki seeing that Serenity didn't hold a grudge against his father, Loki himself starting to calm down some. When Frigga heard about Serenity and her parents, she came running down the hallway. "Serenity!, Serenity! oh, dear, are you ok?" Serenity said, "I'm ok." When Frigga saw Serenity's face, she said, "Oh, my word, what did those horrible people do to you, dear." Serenity said, "I don't remember too much, but from what I can remember is that my mother slapped me because I wouldn't go with her." Frigga said, "Oh, what a horrible woman she is. Slapping her own daughter. Someone needs to teach her a lesson or two about how to treat her children." Odin laughed, "And I suppose that you would have done that my dear." Frigga stares at Odin, "What do you think, Odin?" When Odin saw her stare he stopped laughing. "Of course dear, you would have. So, I guess it's a good thing that you weren't around because we would have had a battle of the goddesses." Frigga said proudly, "To which I WOULD HAVE WON." Odin said, "Yes, dear, you would have indeed won."

Frigga continues, "I should have never left her." Loki said, "Mother, it's not your fault. Serenity was on her way to see her brother when her parents took her." Just then Cupid and Thor arrive. When Cupid sees his sister's face, he gets mad, "What did that bitch do to you, sis." Serenity said, "Cupid, I told you before that she's our mother, so don't talk about her like that." Cupid said, "Oh, please sis. Look at what she has done to you, and you are still trying to show her respect. Respect that she doesn't even deserve." Serenity said, "I guess so, Cupid." Cupid said, "Well, don't. She doesn't deserve your kindness. She deserves to be locked away somewhere and the key thrown away." Thor said, "Your brother is correct, Serenity. Your mother doesn't deserve your sympathy or kindness. She is an awful person." Serenity said, "Yes, I know Thor but she's still my mother." Loki said, "Baby, your mother doesn't deserve all of your kindness and sympathy." Frigga said, "I agree, dear. Your mother is a grown woman who needs to be held responsible for her own actions." Serenity shakes her head yes. Loki said, "Let's get you back to my chambers so you can rest." Loki then proceeded to carry Serenity back to his chambers.

Loki carries Serenity back to his chambers, "Here we go, baby safe and sound." Serenity said, "Do you think that your father will make me stay with your mother?" Loki said, "I don't care what my father said, you are staying with me tonight and every night thereafter. I'm not letting you out of my sight this time." Serenity said, "But Loki......" Loki said gently, "No buts Serenity. I'm not letting you out of my sight again. I don't care if your grandfather did say that he wouldn't let them leave Olympus." Serenity nods her head yes. She knew that she couldn't argue with him because he was too determined for her to stay with him.

Serenity said, "Loki." Loki answered, "Yes, baby." Serenity continues, "I need my nightgown from your mother's. So, I'll just go and get it." Loki grabs her hand, "No, baby, I'll go and get it. You stay right here; I don't want anything else to happen to you. So, don't leave this room under any circumstances." Then he leaves to go and get Serenity's nightgown from his mother's chambers. Serenity went and sat down on the bed and waited for Loki to return. When Loki arrived at his mother's, he knocked on the door and waited for her to come, a few minutes later she came to the door. Frigga said, "Loki, my son, what are you doing here? You should be with Serenity." Loki replied, "I left Serenity in my chambers, and I told her not to leave for any reason. I have come to get her nightgown." Frigga said, "Yes, I have it, let me go and get it." Frigga leaves the room to go and get Serenity's nightgown from the bedroom that she was staying at the night before. Frigga returns with the nightgown and hands it to Loki. "Here you go, son." Loki replied, "Thank you, mother. I'm going to get this back to Serenity." Loki then leaves his mother's chambers and returns to his own chambers.
