As the night wound down, the group decided it was finally time to head back to the house. Neuvillette, now fully sober and composed, walked alongside you and Felix. His earlier tipsiness had all but vanished, replaced by his usual dignified demeanor. He was silently reflecting on the evening's chaotic events, likely vowing never to partake in something like this again.
Freddy and Daddy Hello Kitty Batman, however, were a different story. Still drunk and stumbling, they trailed behind the rest of the group, their laughter echoing through the quiet streets as you made your way home.
Freddy, trying to walk in a straight line, ended up leaning on you for support. His heavy animatronic frame made it a bit of a challenge, but you managed to keep him upright. "Thanks, buddy," he slurred, his voice glitching slightly, "I knew you'd... keep me on the right track."
Daddy Hello Kitty Batman, meanwhile, had somehow acquired a large inflatable balloon shaped like a Hello Kitty that he refused to let go of. "This is my partner now," he declared proudly, stumbling along beside Neuvillette, who looked slightly horrified by the whole situation.
"Goodness," Neuvillette sighed, glancing at you and Felix. "This is... a sight I did not expect to witness tonight. Nor one I hope to repeat."
Felix chuckled, his arm wrapped around you as the two of you walked together. "You're handling it well, Neuvillette. And at least you're sober now."
Neuvillette rolled his eyes, but there was a small smile on his face. "I suppose there's some solace in that."
After what felt like an eternity of navigating the streets with two drunk companions, you finally arrived back at the house. Freddy nearly tripped over the welcome mat, while Daddy Hello Kitty Batman saluted the front door for no apparent reason before entering.
"Alright, you two," you said, helping Freddy through the door, "time to get you guys settled."
Felix laughed as he followed, giving you a hand with Freddy, who was struggling to find the right key to his room. "I never thought I'd be babysitting an animatronic bear and a superhero tonight."
Neuvillette, who had wisely decided to keep his distance from the pair once you were inside, turned to face you all. "I'm heading to bed," he announced. "You have my utmost respect for taking on this... challenge."
Freddy, leaning heavily on the doorframe, looked up at Neuvillette with a lopsided grin. "Hey, Neuvillette! You're not gonna say goodnight?"
Neuvillette paused, clearly debating whether to dignify that with a response. After a moment, he sighed and muttered, "Goodnight, Freddy. And... good luck."
With that, Neuvillette retreated to his room, leaving you and Felix to wrangle the two chaotic figures. After much effort, you managed to get Freddy into his room, where he promptly fell onto the bed, top hat askew.
Daddy Hello Kitty Batman, still clutching his inflatable Hello Kitty balloon, insisted on staying in the living room, claiming that "the floor is where the real heroes sleep." You and Felix shared an amused glance but decided to leave him be.
Finally, with everyone settled, you and Felix made your way to your room. The chaos of the evening had given way to a quiet, peaceful night. You lay together in bed, laughing softly at the ridiculousness of the day.
"That was... something," Felix said, running his fingers through your hair as you snuggled closer to him. "But I'm glad we survived it."
You smiled, resting your head on his chest. "Yeah. At least Neuvillette didn't lose it completely. And who knows, maybe next time we'll be the ones getting them back for all the teasing."
Felix chuckled. "Maybe. But for now, I think we deserve a quiet night."
The two of you fell asleep, your breathing slow and steady as the house grew silent. The night had been wild, but now, everything was calm again.
The next morning, the group gathered in the kitchen for breakfast. Freddy had somehow recovered remarkably well, while Daddy Hello Kitty Batman looked like he hadn't slept a wink but still carried his Hello Kitty balloon proudly.
Neuvillette entered, looking refreshed but wary, casting a glance toward Freddy and Daddy Hello Kitty Batman as if expecting more chaos.
"Everyone feeling... alright?" he asked, his tone suggesting he was ready for anything.
Freddy grinned. "Better than ever! Ready to do it all again?"
Neuvillette paled slightly. "Let's... not."
And with that, the group shared a laugh, everyone silently agreeing that maybe, just maybe, they'd take it easy the next time around.
