As the stars twinkled overhead, the group continued to relax, but you couldn't help but think about the future. After all, you and Felix had been through so much together—and while the beach had been a nice break, it was no place to live.
"Guys," you started, sitting up and looking at the rest of the team. "We can't just keep sleeping on the beach. I mean, it's nice, but we need an actual place to stay."
Felix nodded in agreement, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, as much as I love the sound of waves at night, we need somewhere we can actually call home."
Batman, now lying in the sand, looked up at you with a raised eyebrow. "A house, huh? Well, unless you want to live in a Batcave, I'm fresh out of suggestions."
Neuvillette glanced over, his usual serious demeanor softening slightly. "I agree. While this beach is peaceful, it's not sustainable for the long term. We'll need proper shelter."
Freddy Fazbear, who had been unusually quiet up until now, suddenly perked up. "Wait a minute! I know someone who can help us out."
You exchanged a curious look with Felix. "You do?"
Freddy grinned, his animatronic eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "Oh yeah! I know this guy—he's all about helping people out. Kind of intense, though. Goes by the name... Duolingo."
"Duolingo?" Felix asked, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't that the language app?"
Freddy chuckled. "Yeah, he's got a side hustle. Real estate. Trust me, he can hook us up with a place in no time."
The group stared at Freddy for a moment, unsure if he was serious or not, but there didn't seem to be any other immediate options on the table.
"Well," you said, shrugging. "It's worth a shot, right? I mean, we do need a place."
Neuvillette nodded thoughtfully. "I suppose if this Duolingo can indeed secure us a home, it would be wise to see what he has to offer."
Freddy wasted no time. He pulled out a phone from who-knows-where and dialed a number. After a moment, he grinned. "Yo, Duo! It's Freddy. Listen, I've got a group here that's in desperate need of a house. Think you can help us out?"
The voice on the other end of the call was faint, but you could hear an enthusiastic "Hola, Freddy! Of course! I can find something perfect for you all."
Freddy gave the thumbs up, looking back at the group. "He's on it."
It didn't take long before you heard the flapping of wings in the distance. Moments later, a small green owl descended from the sky, landing gracefully in front of you. It was none other than Duolingo himself, his eyes sharp and determined.
"Hola, amigos!" Duolingo greeted, his voice chipper but with a slight edge. "I hear you need a place to live. Don't worry—I've got just the thing. Follow me."
Without another word, Duolingo took off, flying toward the city that was just visible on the horizon. The team hurried to follow him, excitement building as you left the beach behind.
After a short walk, you arrived at a beautiful house nestled at the edge of the city. It was two stories, with a spacious yard, large windows, and an incredible view of both the ocean and the mountains. It was perfect.
Duolingo landed on the porch and turned to face you all, puffing out his chest with pride. "Here it is! I think you'll find it has everything you need."
You and Felix exchanged amazed glances, barely able to believe your luck. "This is... amazing!" Felix said, looking at the house in awe. "How did you find this place so quickly?"
Duolingo winked. "I've got my ways. Now, enjoy it—but don't forget to keep up with your lessons!" He gave a mock stern look before flapping his wings and flying off into the night.
You turned to the rest of the team, smiling broadly. "Looks like we have a home!"
Batman strolled up to the front door, knocking on it dramatically before swinging it open. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's check this place out!"
Inside, the house was even more impressive. There was a spacious living room with comfy couches, a fully-equipped kitchen, and several bedrooms—each with a perfect view of the ocean. There was even a cozy little study room that Felix immediately claimed as his favorite spot.
As the group explored their new home, you felt a wave of relief wash over you. After everything you'd been through, this place felt like a fresh start—a chance to rest, recharge, and plan for whatever came next.
Later that night, after everyone had settled into their rooms, you and Felix found yourselves alone in the master bedroom. The moonlight streamed through the large windows, casting a soft glow over the room.
Felix pulled you close, wrapping his arms around you. "This place really is perfect," he murmured, his voice soft. "I can't believe we actually have a home now."
You smiled, resting your head against his chest. "Neither can I. It feels like everything's finally falling into place."
Felix leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "We've got this, you know? Whatever comes next, we can handle it."
You nodded, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. "Yeah, we can."
As the night wore on, the two of you drifted off to sleep, finally able to rest easy in the comfort of your new home. Tomorrow would bring new adventures, but for now, you were content just being together.
The next morning, the team gathered in the spacious living room, sipping coffee and enjoying the morning sunlight that streamed through the windows. Freddy, always full of energy, was already plotting out how to decorate the house.
As you sat down beside Felix, the team began discussing their next steps, but for now, it seemed that peace had finally found its way into your lives—at least for a little while.
No JYP in sight, no drama on the horizon—just you, Felix, and your quirky group of friends in a beautiful new home.
