Later that night, after a long and laughter-filled evening, the group slowly drifted off to bed, each retreating to their own rooms. You and Felix, after having helped tidy up, finally made your way to your shared room, the excitement of the day still lingering between you. As you closed the door behind you, the world outside seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you in the quiet, cozy space.
Felix wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close, his lips brushing against your forehead. "Finally, some alone time," he whispered with a soft smile, his voice warm and full of affection.
You leaned into him, savoring the peaceful moment. It had been a long day, and being with him now, away from the chaos of the team, felt perfect. The two of you began to softly talk, your voices low, but as the night deepened, the laughter and whispers grew a little louder, more playful.
Unbeknownst to you both, Neuvillette—just next door—was struggling. He had tried to ignore it, rolling over and pressing a pillow over his ears, but the walls in the house were too thin, and your giggles and whispers were driving him up the wall. His patience, which had been quite formidable up until now, was wearing dangerously thin.
After a particularly loud burst of laughter from Felix, Neuvillette sat bolt upright in bed, his face a mix of exhaustion and irritation. He couldn't take it anymore. Throwing the covers off, he stormed out of his room and marched over to your door, his footsteps echoing ominously in the hallway.
Without hesitation, Neuvillette knocked sharply on your door, his voice dripping with frustration. "Shut the actual hell up unless you seriously don't want to wake up tomorrow."
The sudden knock and his voice startled you both. Felix immediately went quiet, eyes wide in surprise. You couldn't help but giggle softly, though you quickly tried to stifle it, realizing how serious Neuvillette sounded.
Neuvillette, clearly done with the situation, didn't wait for a response. After a brief pause, he added, "I'm not joking around, kiddos." Then, with dramatic flair, he slammed his door shut with enough force to make the walls tremble slightly.
For a moment, everything was silent. You exchanged a glance with Felix, both of you trying not to laugh, but the tension of holding it back made it all the more difficult.
"Well... that was intense," Felix whispered, his voice full of amusement. "We should probably... you know, tone it down."
You nodded, still giggling quietly. "Poor Neuvillette. I guess we really did push him too far."
With that, the two of you settled down, keeping your voices to a whisper as you lay side by side, the night's earlier energy fading into soft murmurs. Felix's hand found yours, and the two of you eventually drifted off to sleep, trying to avoid another confrontation with your very irritated, very tired neighbor.
Neuvillette, on the other hand, finally found the peace and quiet he needed, though he made a mental note to bring earplugs next time—just in case.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the kitchen windows, bathing the room in a warm glow. The team sat around the breakfast table—Felix, you, Neuvillette, Daddy Hello Kitty Batman, Freddy Fazbear, Toe Pedeos, Emo Jesus, and Duolingo—all enjoying the meal Duolingo had expertly whipped up. But there was one thing that stood out more than the delicious pancakes: Neuvillette's icy, unrelenting death stare.
As Felix reached for a piece of toast, Neuvillette's eyes burned into him, making him pause awkwardly. You tried to avoid eye contact with him, sensing his simmering irritation from last night's events.
Freddy Fazbear, blissfully unaware of the tension, laughed as he took a big gulp of orange juice. He looked around the table, finally noticing the dark cloud hanging over Neuvillette's head. "Uh... did something happen, Neuvillette? You seem a little... off."
Neuvillette's gaze didn't falter, but he simply stirred his tea with a level of precision that was almost unnerving. "Nothing that wasn't already discussed last night," he muttered icily.
Felix tried to hold back a smile, leaning over to you and whispering, "We really have to be quieter."
Before Neuvillette could respond to the clear implication of Felix's whisper, Emo Jesus chimed in, drumming his fingers on the table. "Yeah, bro, what's up? You're looking like you didn't sleep at all."
The entire table tensed, expecting Neuvillette to snap. But instead, he inhaled deeply and said through gritted teeth, "Let's just say I'll be very grateful if tonight is... quieter."
Felix, trying to break the tension, chuckled. "Noted."
Before the mood could darken further, Duolingo suddenly jumped in, grinning broadly as he placed another stack of pancakes on the table. "Pancakes make everything better! Eat up, Darkness Retribution!"
The group smiled, the tension easing a bit, and Freddy couldn't help but laugh at Duolingo's infectious enthusiasm. Even Daddy Hello Kitty Batman cracked a smile between his sips of coffee. But Neuvillette's gaze never softened, a silent reminder of the prior night's disturbance.
Breakfast carried on, and soon enough, the focus shifted to the plans for the day. But everyone knew they'd need to tread carefully around Neuvillette's frayed patience—or risk another intense confrontation.
