It was now midday, and after a chaotic night and a relaxing morning, everyone was starting to go about their day. You found Felix sitting in the living room, headphones on, fully focused on his Spanish lessons. His brow was furrowed in concentration as he repeated phrases under his breath, determined to get everything right.

"¿Dónde está la biblioteca?" Felix mumbled, trying to match the exact pronunciation.

You smiled, watching him, finding his determination both adorable and amusing. "You're really committed to this, huh?"

He looked up and grinned, a slight blush coloring his cheeks. "I can't let Duolingo down. That owl's got some serious expectations."

As if on cue, a bright flash filled the room, and when it faded, there stood Duolingo—feathers perfectly preened, eyes wide and intense, and with an air of determination that matched Felix's.

"Ah, I see you've been keeping up with your lessons," Duolingo said in its high-pitched but strangely authoritative voice. "Muy bien, Felix. I'm proud of your progress."

Felix jumped in surprise but quickly recovered, sitting up straighter. "Thanks, I've been trying to stay on track," he said, a little nervously, still unsure if the owl was friend or foe.

Duolingo floated over to the couch, its wings spread wide, as if basking in the success of its diligent student. "Well, I'm here to make sure you stay on track. But I've also come with a proposition."

You raised an eyebrow, curious. "A proposition?"

Duolingo nodded sagely, its tiny eyes gleaming. "Yes. I've been watching your adventures, and I believe you could use my expertise. Your team is impressive, but I bring a certain... edge." It fluffed its feathers, clearly proud of itself.

Freddy, who had wandered into the room munching on a sandwich, stopped mid-bite. "Wait, you want to join us?"

Daddy Hello Kitty Batman, still holding his balloon from the night before, chimed in from the doorway. "An owl... on our team? Well, it can't be the strangest thing that's happened."

Neuvillette, who had been reading a book quietly in the corner, looked up from his reading glasses. "We already have quite the ensemble. But I must admit, your commitment to education is admirable."

Felix exchanged a glance with you, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I don't see why not. Duolingo's kind of... intense, but in a good way."

You laughed softly, leaning into Felix. "Well, if you think Duolingo will help us in our quest, then I say we give it a shot."

Duolingo puffed out its chest proudly. "Perfecto! You won't regret this. I bring not just language skills but a level of persistence unmatched by any."

At that moment, the door swung open, and Emo Jesus appeared, sipping from a large iced coffee with a dramatic sigh. "Did I just hear we're adding an owl to the group? How delightfully absurd."

Neuvillette chuckled, shaking his head. "I thought you'd be more exasperated, but you seem to be taking it well."

Emo Jesus shrugged, looking almost amused. "At this point, nothing fazes me."

The team had grown larger, more eclectic than ever, but somehow, the addition of Duolingo seemed to fit perfectly with the bizarre dynamic. Freddy patted the owl on the back. "Welcome to the team, Duolingo. Just... don't push too many quizzes on us, alright?"

Duolingo's eyes twinkled mischievously. "No promises."

The rest of the day passed in a mix of laughter and preparations. Felix continued his lessons under Duolingo's watchful eye, while the others went about their routines. Neuvillette was still quietly adjusting to the latest team addition, but even he couldn't help but find it all a bit amusing.

By the time evening rolled around, the team had officially welcomed their new member. Duolingo had settled in comfortably, ready to assist both in battles and in helping Felix master his Spanish.

As the sun began to set, you and Felix shared a quiet moment, watching the sky turn from blue to shades of pink and orange. He smiled at you, taking your hand. "You know, this whole adventure has been crazier than I ever expected. But I'm glad I'm doing it with you."

You squeezed his hand in return, leaning into him. "Me too. And who knows what's next? With this team, I think we can handle anything."

And with Duolingo now in the mix, that was truer than ever.
