"Oh! I want to see those pearls!" Claudia cooed at her son.

Dustin held up his Proton Pack and gave the camera a wide, toothy smile.

"Yeah!" she snapped a picture, "Who you gonna call?"

Magnolia smirked as her aunt sang the familiar theme of Ghostbusters. "And, you're sure people are dressing up?"

Dustin scoffed, "Yes, I'm sure." He paused to pose for the camera again, "Besides, everybody did last year."

"Your funeral, dude," she shrugged before finally leaving the house. Outside, Talia's car waited.

When Magnolia closed the car door and turned to face Talia, she was met with a glare. "Do you know how long I've been waiting?" the blonde began.

"Two minutes?"

"Two minutes too long," Talia muttered.

Magnolia rolled her eyes and changed the subject. "Did you figure out your costume?"

"No. You said no to doing a costume with me. Remember?"

"I'm not sacrificing my originality so you'll have a costume," Magnolia scoffed. "Just go as a witch or something."

"Like, half the girls there are going to be witches."

"Yeah, but none of them will be half as hot as you. Or nearly as deranged."

"You're a charmer, as usual, Maggie."

Magnolia fanned her face as she let the last drop of blood dry. She looked in the mirror, ensuring the drips of fake blood didn't look entirely unnatural. She wasn't any Sissy Spacek, but Magnolia thought she had done a damn good job with her Carrie costume.

Grabbing her crown and her sash, Magnolia hurried to the front door as quickly as she could in her heels that she'd no doubt abandon at some point that night. "I'm heading out, Claudia!" she called out as she passed the living room.

"Wait!"

Magnolia sighed as she paused in front of the front door. She saw the fuzzy image of Talia's car outside through the window. She could practically hear the blonde girl lecturing her about her punctuality.

Claudia, who now sported a black cat costume, held up a familiar camera.

"Oh, come on! Seriously! Tal's waiting for me, Aunt Claudia," Magnolia tried to argue.
