Up ahead on the path, he could see a Sheikah Shrine sitting just off to the side, behind the small ridge that the other had hid behind while he had fought the Talus. Opposite the Shrine there were more village ruins. Past both directly ahead of him was a stone bridge that spanned over a river. The span had fallen into disrepair, but most of the old stone brick was still holding up. The bridge, which if Jordan's memory served him correctly was called 'Proxim Bridge' was around 30 ft wide, and well over 150 ft in length as it spanned over the meandering Hylia River. Jordan had just passed the completed Shrine and was starting to cross the bridge before everyone else caught up to him.

"Jordan! Slow down. Can we go a bit slower?" Amber petitioned as she began to match his steps beside him. He shook his head.

"I would say yes, but I would also like to make it to Kakariko Village before nightfall," he explained, pointing up ahead at the pair of peaks that looked as if they had been split down the middle, "If my plans go smoothly, it should take a few hours to get there. Once we pass the Dueling Peaks, it will mark the halfway point."

"That sounds like a long walk." Leenie whined, "Do we have to go there?" Jordan couldn't help but feel annoyed with her complaints, and he expressed some of his frustration with his words.

"No, actually, we don't," he said sarcastically, "but if you would like to get attacked by skeleton monsters every 5 minutes after the sun goes down and you can't see anything with no one to defend you, sure, take as long as you'd like."

That shut Leenie up. Jordan gave himself a "hmph" and continued to walk on. He didn't mean to get mad or annoyed with his companions, but this sort of thing happened a lot with Jordan. Being the athletic type of person he was, he had always had to deal with less active people around him. He knew that he couldn't change them to try harder, but it got on his back sometimes when they complained like Leenie just had. He understood that this was a different sort of challenge.

It was the type of challenge that had no do-overs if you failed. If you failed, you were dead. There was no "try again tomorrow", and because of this, Jordan was going to try his best to make sure that no one got hurt, and that he could provide the best options for them to succeed in surviving. Jordan knew that the rest of the group probably hadn't fully realized that they couldn't fail. He was the only person that hadn't appeared to be suffering from some sort of shock. He was the group leader keeping everyone from falling apart.

Once they crossed the stone bridge, Jordan realized that there was a large monster camp ahead. The path in front of them continued east along a river that joined up with the Hylia just ahead of the bridge, weaving through a small forested area. At the edge of a river sat a monster camp that the route gave a wide berth to. Jordan turned around and started walking backwards to start a conversation with everyone else, his frustration forgotten.

"Guys I realize that you don't know your surroundings very well, so I think it might help if I gave you the rundown on the monsters around here." he turned and pointed directly ahead of them where the camp stood at the edge of the water, "There's that bokoblin camp over there, and then there is another one just like that a few hundred feet farther along the river. There shouldn't be any monsters in the woods where the path travels, so that will be safe. In the interest of being able to sell monster parts, I would like to attack the monster camps I just mentioned."

Olivia shrugged, "If you say so. I'm just still trying to wrap my mind around being in Hyrule, so I don't mind as long as you stay safe."

With his question cleared, he provided his idea for how they would split up. "I think it would be better if you guys stayed on the regular path and kept going at a normal pace while I fought the bokoblins. Will, would you like a weapon just in case a monster pops up and I'm not there to help?"
