"CALM DOWN?!"

The resounding fearful and angry response came from his surroundings as they all looked at him like he was insane.

"I can answer all of your questions, but can we do something first? Please?"

"What do you want to do?" asked Drew, who actually seemed much calmer than many of the others.

"Can we get off the Plateau and start heading east?" he asked, waving his hand in the direction of the Dueling Peaks.

"But Jordan, they are scared. Are you sure we have to do that?" Olivia questioned. He shrugged.

"It'll take much less time if we can start moving while we explain everything." he responded.

"Wait, how do we get off the plateau?" Emily asked with a hint of dread in her tone. Jordan pointed at the edge of the plateau where the old brick structure capped the cliffs.

"We have to jump off the ledge over there."

"JUMP?!" came Mayla's panic once again. Olivia rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Nice, Jordan. No, he means to jump with a glider." She turned to look at him and she smirked at him like "do you have to keep messing with them?"

"Wait, you guys have paragliders? But I thought that Link could only get a paraglider from the King's ghost!?" Ronny jumped in with excitement, his knowledge of the world around making him the only new arrival that wasn't showing signs of fear so far.

"Well, not anymore. We have paragliders in Olivia's other bag." Jordan said.

"Cool!" Ronny responded jubilantly, and Jordan could tell that he was itching to try gliding out for himself.

"What do we have to do?" Lynn wondered aloud in curiosity and fear. The fact that her brother wasn't scared seemed to comfort her and she didn't appear to be as scared as Mayla or Emily.

"Everyone, grab a paraglider from the bag. We're gonna teach you how to fly."

"Fly? Yippie!!!" Lynn cheered. Jordan shared an annoyed look with Ronny in silent acknowledgement that the young girl had no idea what was happening around her, and she had no real capacity for how dangerous things might be.

Once everybody had grabbed a glider, Jordan brought them over to the edge of the precipice and told them to simply hold the glider above their head and jump. Then Olivia demonstrated and flew down to the horses. Ronny wasn't afraid, and jumped first without much hesitation. He made it down easily. Drew and Emily went next and had a little trouble, but made it down safely. Mayla almost freaked out halfway down, but she managed it too.

Then it was just Lynn and Jordan left. Jordan went back to the monster camp and grabbed the bokoblin's weapons, shields, and monster parts before returning to the side of the cliff. Lynn was staring at him wide-eyed with no shame. It was actually kind of funny because as far as he knew, she thought that Jordan didn't know she had a crush on him. He looked down the cliff and then at her before asking, "Are you going to jump?"

"But it looks scary!" she said in a baby voice that infuriated him but he kept it together to try helping her out.

"Don't worry, you just have to hold it above your head and jump. I'll do it with you."

"Okay!"

And so they did. Lynn struggled for a second, but managed to come together and land fine. Then she started jumping up and down happily for her achievement. Jordan shook his head in annoyance and headed over to where everyone else was. They were all gathered around the horses. Olivia was talking.
