Link's hypothesis was correct, and Jordan was not left behind as they fast traveled to the Tech Lab. Fast traveling was one of the weirdest things Jordan had ever experienced. When he was traveling, he didn't have a body, and therefore he couldn't feel anything. His consciousness also left him, so he can't even think.

But before his consciousness could escape him, he realized something. He had managed to match Link in a duel, even though he should have gotten his butt kicked. He figured Link must have some rust after a hundred years, because he assumed that the Hero of Time could do much better than that.

When Jordan was reappearing at the entrance of the lab it felt like he was being pieced back together like a giant living puzzle, though his consciousness came back before his body was reformed. Jordan was still trying to mentally pull himself together when Link knocked on the door and walked in. Jordan gathered himself and walked inside.

Olivia was sitting on a chair next to the bookshelves reading a book. Impa was scribbling down notes in a notebook, and Symin was not in the room. Both women looked up, and both got very confused looks on their faces. Olivia managed to find her voice first.

"Jordan? And...are you Link?" Link nodded in acknowledgement. Purah stood up in her chair. "Link? Jordan? What are both of you doing here?"

"We just came here to confirm that I had really met you, Purah, and to confirm my story," he explained vaguely.

"Your story? You mean how you got here from a different world and you were sent by the goddess...that story?" the professor sounded almost hysteric.

"Yes." Link cut in before he turned to Jordan once more. "You weren't lying."

"I wouldn't ever lie to you."

"But you did before." the cheeky smile returned to his face as Link called him out again.

"I had a reason for that one. So do you trust me now?"

"Yes, I do." he responded with a kind of sincerity that would make anyone a fool to call him a liar. He turned back to look at Olivia. "I assume you are one of the others that Jordan mentioned? You are not from Hyrule either? And where is the Sheikah slate Jordan tells me of?"

"Yes. My name is Olivia, and I am from Earth. I have the slate right here." she said, producing it from a nearby drawer. "Here. It records any data we want on it."

"Interesting." Link peered off into the distance for a moment before returning to the conversation "I think I will be off now. Is there anything else I might want to know?"

"Yes. There is a way that I can help you during your journey. Seeing as I am a monster hunter, I come across many powerful weapons. I have a few weapons on me that I could give you in exchange for some of your weaker ones." A small smirk appeared on Link's face.

"I see. What do you have?"

They spent several minutes talking about weapons and retrieving them from their inventories to show and trade. Eventually, they traded several different weapons, including giant boomerangs, rods infused with electrical power, and strong bokoblin weaponry. Jordan also got a chance to see what Link had already found, and it showed because it was clear to him that Link had not found as many highly regarded and sturdy weapons yet. Once they were done trading, the hero showed his gratitude.

"Thank you for the improved weaponry. I will head back to Kakariko now, but I shall visit you again soon. Where do you live?"

"We currently live at the local Inn, but Bolson Construction is building us a house in the village as we speak."

"Good." he reached for his sheikah slate on his hip again, plotting his coordinates and saying goodbye before his body was dissolved into strands of blue light and quickly flew away.

After a minute of silence in the laboratory, Jordan said, "Well that was a success."

"Yeah, you found Link, right where the Goddess said. Now that you have completed that, what are you going to do?" Olivia said, looking up from her information manual.

"I don't really know. I hadn't really thought much about anything past finding him. I suppose all we can do now is wait for him to go to the Zora and try to take back Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

"How long do you think that will take?"

"I'm guessing a couple of days, maybe a week at maximum. Zora's Domain isn't too far from here. But who knows? Anything could happen."

"Oh. I thought it would take longer than that." her head tilted in misconception.

"The whole quest to take back all of the Divine Beasts will take much longer. After that he has to travel to three other places across Hyrule. It's gonna be long and tough."

"Where else is going to have to go?" she seemed very anxious to learn all about Link's situation and his ultimate quest to save Hyrule, which Jordan was grateful for as he gave his explanation.

"He has to go to the Eldin region, which is super hot with lava spewing from the volcano, called Death Mountain. Then he has to go through Hebra, which is the coldest part of the continent with a huge mountain range. After that, he has to travel across the scorching Gerudo Desert. It doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me." he found both Olivia and Purah nodding their heads in agreement.

"Will he be okay?" Olivia asked worriedly.

"He's Link, he'll be fine. He's so committed to everything he does, there is no way he doesn't find a way around every obstacle he faces. You can see it in his eyes when you speak to him now, and it was the exact same way a hundred years ago. That part of him has not changed."

"Yeah. Besides, we can help him out if he needs it." he turned for the doorway and before he stepped through, looked back and asked, "Any of you need anything?"

Purah shook her head, but Olivia mumbled something. He asked her to repeat it, but she just told him it was nothing. He raised a confused eyebrow but relented "Okay. I'll be back around dinner." He opened the doors and exited the Lab. He then sighed and headed back South. Jordan wanted to explore what was past the cape, and so he started his long hike back.

When he finally passed the Cape, he soon discovered a Stone Talus in a small cove on the beaches on the south side of the cape. He was able to defeat it, but he tripped a couple of times on the sand and almost got smooshed. After that, he headed for Lurelin Village, the small fishing village at the southeast corner of Hyrule that sat inside a shallow bay that protected them from the open ocean, and it was a few kilometers away from Hateno. He sold off the Talus gems and acquired special arrows that were imbued with electrical energy to shock targets, known as shock arrows, from the small shop on a pier over the bay.

After that he went out and fought off all the monsters close to the village, ensuring that it would be safe from an attack until the next blood moon. Then the villagers, seeing how he could fight, asked him to deal with the monsters at Kitano Bay, an area of shallows nearby that had become a fishing hotspot. Apparently, they had been messing with the fishermen and it had become a dangerous place. Jordan agreed, and walked along the beach killing all the monsters as he headed for his new destination.

He came back to the village surprisingly dry for where he went. Only splotches of his clothes were wet, and his hair was soaked with sweat. He also had lots of sand in his boots, which did not feel comfortable at all. The villagers thanked him for his work with a hundred rupees. He then went back to the pier and got some more money from the monster parts he had collected. After all the day's sales, he now had 13 thousand total rupees. By the time he had finished all of this, he realized the sun was setting, and that he had promised to be home by dinner.
