The morning of the mission, a week from the day they had arrived in Hyrule, Jordan woke up full of energy. His muscles were a bit sore from fighting the last few days, but it wasn't too bad. It seemed pretty early in the morning, which was what he was hoping for. He walked outside in his old clothes and grabbed his fresh ones that he had cleaned in the pond the night before.
His Sheikah chestplate, his trousers, and his hood were all clean and dry as he picked them up. He went back inside, changed his clothes, and went to pay Bolson. Today he gave Bolson only a thousand which seemed like a small amount after two days with a 10,000 rupee total. That meant they only needed to pay 2,000 more for their debt to be paid off.
"Thank you for the money." Bolson told him he counted the rupees before putting them into a small pouch he had fastened to his hip, "Hey listen, we decided that since you have been such a good customer, we brought back one of my men Hudson from Akkala yesterday and worked extra hard on your new house. He's incredible with his work, and he can put up a home in no time. With his help, we should have this baby completed by midday, and we can have the furniture moved in by late afternoon. How does that sound?"
"Completed?! Already?" Jordan looked up in shock at the sloping cliff to look at the house that would become theirs to see that it definitely looked like it was nearing completion. "Yes, of course. That sounds great! Thank you so much."
"Of course. May I ask what you are going to do today?" The man had become interested in his whereabouts during the day so that he could understand how Jordan kept managing to bring him so much money.
"Me and one of my companions are heading to the Great Plateau today. Looking for monsters and treasure. Hopefully I can earn enough to finish paying you tomorrow." he told Bolson of his ambitions. The older man scratched his gray beard thoughtfully.
"Great Plateau eh? Interesting. I hope all goes well, then."
"Thank you." He shook Bolson's outstretched hand.
"Good luck!"
Jordan headed back down to the Inn and started packing the things they would need on their adventure. It was just him and Olivia going, but they were going to bring all three of their horses in case they found anyone. He was putting all of the paragliders Sophie the seamstress made into a box when Olivia opened the Inn doors and walked out, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "D-do we have to go soon?"
"Yes, but take your time. I'll tell you when we have to start heading out." he told her, waving his hand like she shouldn't be worried.
"Do you n-need any help packing stuff?"
"No, I'm good, you can eat breakfast." Jordan finished putting the gliders into a box, and then put them next to the clothes boxes. When they were ready to go, they would strap a box to each horse using some leather straps. Then he joined Olivia at the fire for breakfast. He decided to have some bananas today so that he could boost his strength on their way to the Great Plateau. They bought their food from vendors around Hateno, and it was their way of giving back to the community that had taken them in since they had wandered into the village days ago.
Leenie came outside and joined them a few minutes later. After they ate breakfast, they got ready to set out on their adventure. Jordan grabbed his sword, shield and bow that he had left by his bed. Then they attached one box to the side of each horse using leather straps that they had borrowed from the Inn. Jordan got on Tito, Olivia got on Saps, and then they said good-bye to Leenie and headed west. Jordan held Jimmy's lead in his hand as they rode, guiding the horse without a rider.
In the days prior, Jordan had only defeated the monsters on their path east of Fort Hateno, which they would pass through as they traveled. After they passed the old fort, they could be subject to monster attacks. The possibility of killing monsters would definitely allow Jordan more money once he sold the monster parts, but it would also make the journey longer. But hopefully all of this preparation and travel would pay off.
