"A long long time ago, Hyrule was a much different place. Ten thousand years ago, there was a technologically advanced people called the Sheikah that lived in Hyrule, in harmony with the other races across the land. With their technological prowess, Hyrule was a thriving place. The Sheikah created all kinds of things to safeguard the world, and keep the wonderful era of prosperity they had created. However, since as far as the recorded histories go back, there has been a great evil that has plagued Hyrule. Every several centuries or millennia, this evil entity, called Calamity Ganon, would regain enough strength and return from deep underground in an attempt to destroy Hyrule time and time again. Calamity Ganon is of the same evil substance as the monsters I just defeated."
"There were two essential entities that had the power alone to vanquish Calamity Ganon. First, the Hero, a powerful figure who had been chosen by the legendary Master Sword, also known as the sword that seals the darkness, the most powerful blade in all of Hyrule that contained unparalleled sacred magic. Second, the Princess with the blood of the Goddess. The Hyrulean Royal lineage traces all the way back to the Goddess Hylia herself, and therefore every woman in the family line is born with an untapped gateway into her power."
"In the recorded histories time and time again, the Hero battles and defeats Calamity Ganon in combat with the powerful Master Sword, before the Princess uses her sacred powers of the Goddess to seal away Calamity Ganon for millennia, and save Hyrule from its wrath. Then, thousands of years later, the Calamity will break free and return once again, and the cycle repeats."
"In their era, the ancient Sheikah sought to find a way to aid the Princess and the Hero to defeat and destroy the Calamity when it were to inevitably return to wreak havoc on the world. In order to make this goal a reality, they turned to their highly advanced technological skill to aid them. They built an army of complex autonomous machines called 'Guardians', robots that had mechanical arachnid legs that supported a round body and head that utilized powerful laser blasts to fight, and four supermassive mechanical wonders called the 'Divine Beasts'. These Divine Beasts were massive mechanical animals the size of skyscrapers, loaded with combat prowess. Each Divine Beast was piloted by a strong Champion worthy of the power of the technology. These powerful Sheikah wonders became the sentinels of the peoples of Hyrule as they prepared for Ganon's return."
"Upon Calamity Ganon's return to Hyrule, the Sheikah utilized their power in full force. The Divine Beasts reigned down furious attacks on the beast of malice, weakening it as the Hero and Princess fought Ganon together with their power and magic. Eventually, the Princess managed to seal away Calamity Ganon once again, and Hyrule was saved. However, after this event, the Sheikah completely disappeared, banished by the King of Hyrule, who was afraid of their power. Their technology vanished and their people disappeared. Remnants of the Sheikah people still survive out in a small village east of here, but even they know very little about their ancient heritage."
"Now, we fast forward to a more recent point in time. One hundred years ago, the weight of a new prophecy had fallen upon the shoulders of the ruler of Hyrule at the time, King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule. The prophecy foretold the resurrection of Calamity Ganon, and that the power to oppose it lay dormant beneath the ground. King Rhoam heeded its grave words and began excavations all across Hyrule. They soon discovered the legendary Divine Beasts and the Guardians that had been hidden in the earth for thousands of years. The King realized the distinction of these ancient Sheikah creations as the very same from the ancient histories."
"As they examined the legends and histories of Hyrule, they learned of the Princess with sacred power, and the appointed knight chosen by the Master Sword, and that this pair would be the duo to seal away Calamity Ganon once and for all."
"King Rhoam had a young daughter, named Zelda," everyone around the circle stiffened in recognition of the name. They listened closely as he continued his tale. It was as if nothing else existed while the ancient lore was being spoken. "As I already mentioned about the Royal bloodline, Princess Zelda had a hidden ability to utilize and control the sacred powers of the Goddess. The prophecy had been revealed when she was just a young girl, and her father put increasing pressure on her to learn how to access her sacred power as she grew older.
