As he walked down the hall, Aron saw Ryan coming toward him with a stormy expression. The tension in the air was thick, and Aron felt a knot in his stomach. Something was definitely wrong.
Before Ryan's fist could hit his face, Aron quickly moved out of the way.
"What's wrong with you?" Aron asked.
"Fuck you," Ryan shot back, turning to walk away, leaving Aron confused and angry. Aron shook his head and started looking for Helen, which didn't take long since he spotted her coming his way.
"What are you doing out here?" Helen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Where were you? I was worried," Aron said, taking her hand and leading her toward class.
"I got my period," Helen replied, pouting. Aron glanced at her lips.
"What happened? Why it is bleeding?" he asked, looking concerned.
Helen gulped and quickly regained her composure. "I was about to cry from the pain, so I bit my lip," she admitted.
Aron turned fully toward her and asked, "Want to go somewhere after class?"
Helen nodded eagerly, a smile breaking across her face.
Classes finished, and Aron and Helen decided to take a short drive to relax. Meanwhile, Ryan frowned when he didn't see Aron's bike. He decided to drive home, but when he found Aron wasn't there, he changed into comfortable clothes and rushed downstairs to grab his car. He drove toward Helen's house.
To his surprise, there was still no bike in sight.
He decided to wait, closing his eyes and leaning back in the seat. He didn't even realize when he fell asleep.
Suddenly, the sound of a bike engine echoed on the quiet road, waking Ryan. He opened his eyes to see the moon already shining brightly.
Aron stopped his bike, and Helen got off with a huge smile that left Ryan dazed. Aron helped her take off her helmet and fixed her hair before saying goodbye.
Ryan's fists clenched in anger.
"How dare you go against me?" he muttered under his breath, chuckling maniacally.
"Didn't I tell you not to talk to him? Huh?" he said, talking to himself.
"Didn't I? Then why... WHY?" he shouted, starting his car and leaving with one thought in mind: to punish Helen.
Aron reached home, and shortly after, Ryan did too. They both sat down for dinner. After eating, Aron decided to head to the terrace. Ryan's eyes twitched as an idea came to him. He quickly walked upstairs and watched Aron approach the terrace.
He took some oil from the storeroom and spread it on the floor.
As Aron walked down the stairs, his foot slipped on the fourth step, causing him to tumble down eight or nine steps. He let out a pained growl.
Servants rushed to him as he stared at his swollen foot.
"Fuck," he cursed, using the guards for support as he walked back to his room.
They helped him onto the bed and called for a doctor, who told him he had twisted his ankle badly and would need to rest for a few days.
Aron groaned in annoyance while Ryan smirked, satisfied that his plan had worked.
The next day, after Aron told Helen about his accident, she didn't wait for him. Picking up her bag, she walked outside, stretching her arms wide like wings as she inhaled the fresh morning air.
Meanwhile, Ryan became lost in her beauty.
As Helen walked, Ryan followed her at a slow speed in his car.
She reached the college, and Ryan sped up, blocking her way.
She waited for the driver to move, but when no one did, she decided to change direction. Just as she was about to cross the street, a hand reached out from the car, grabbing her own and pulling her inside.
It terrified her. Before she could scream, she was pulled into the car, and no one noticed since there were no other students around.
Her eyes widened as she looked at the man beside her. Turning her back to him, she tried to open the door repeatedly, but it wouldn't budge.
"What do you want?" she asked, frustration in her voice.
"You," Ryan replied.
Helen chuckled sarcastically. "Nice joke."
"I'm not joking. I want you," Ryan insisted, and Helen sighed loudly, leaning closer until her face was just inches from his.
"Then earn me. Don't kidnap me, you bastard," she shot back, her voice fierce.
Ryan gulped, caught off guard by her response.
"Do you understand?" Helen asked, crossing her arms.
Ryan blinked at her, clearly confused.
"Ha," he managed to say.
"DO YOU FUCKING UNDERSTAND ME?" Helen shouted, and Ryan quickly responded, "Yes."
"What?" Helen pressed.
"To earn you," Ryan said.
"Now let me go," she demanded, and the door unlocked.
Helen quickly got out of the car and walked toward the college while Ryan stood there, bewildered and shocked. After a few moments, he suddenly burst into laughter.
"Helen..." he whispered, a plan forming in his mind.
