"That's your family, Birdy. Your uncle, aunt, and cousin, whom I can't wait to kill," Kian said, without taking his gaze off the people downstairs.

Crystal's POV

Family...

I didn't know what to feel after hearing that word.

"Leave them," I said without looking towards Kian or any of them.

"I will, Birdy, but don't you want your family to witness our marriage?" Kian said, turning back towards me, his eyes drilling holes in my back.

"LEAVE THEM, KIAN," I turned and shouted, suddenly feeling the anger rising inside my body.

Kian's gaze turned blank as he watched me in silence. I took a few steps back before completely turning my back towards him. I was about to enter my room again when he announced loudly, "TOMORROW IS OUR MARRIAGE, BIRDY. BE PREPARED."

I didn't look back. I didn't wipe the tear away. It was just frustrating.

I got in and locked the door, quietly sitting on the bed. There was no way left for me now. I got up, taking out a blank canvas, and start painting it with red...

i was lost in it when ,

I heard the small, steady noise of footsteps from behind me. I quickly turned my head, remembering I had locked the door. How could he come in?

Kian sat just beside me. I didn't let his presence bother me and started doing my work again.

"You will be my wife tomorrow, Crystal," he said, picking up a blank page from the floor, "and I will be your husband." He repeated, and this time my eyes turned towards him.

"We will be together for eternity from now, in a new world where you and I will be the only ones." His deep voice made me frown. What was he even saying? I couldn't guess.

"You don't understand it, right, Birdy?" he said while chuckling, and my eyes darted down.

"There is a lot of time to understand me, Birdy," he said, taking one of the brushes from my brush holder and dipping it into the red paint.

"Your family, which you have seen now, was there because I thought after seeing the blood you would throw a tantrum about the wedding, but you didn't," he said, his eyes darting to my face.

"Aren't you too good, Birdy?" he said and started drawing something on the blank paper. I didn't say anything, but my hand tightened its grip on my dress.

After that, silence engulfed us for a few minutes, which I couldn't hold anymore and asked...

"Why me?"

"Only you," he answered, and I couldn't speak anything again...

He picked up the paper and placed it on the floor again. His body curled towards me, his hand grasped my waist, and he picked me up like I was nothing and made me sit on his lap.

His head dropped onto my neck, taking a long, deep breath.

"I hate when you shout at me, Birdy," he said, taking my flesh between his teeth and biting it harshly. I let out a small whimper of pain along with his name, and he let go.

His hand rubbed my back softly, his face still on my neck, his breaths still touching my skin.

"Don't try to run away from me, Birdy, not anymore," he said, his voice becoming a little huskier.

I wanted not to answer, but when his hold tightened on my waist, I whispered, "I have accepted you, Kian. I won't run, not anymore..."

He let out a low groan, rubbing his head on my neck.

"And I won't let you go after this, not anymore," he said, and I hummed.
