A week had passed since Tae had officially enrolled in the teacher training course, and with each passing day, her excitement only grew. The thought of receiving her books filled her with an almost childlike excitement.

It felt as though a new world was opening up for her, one where she could dream and learn again, where she could pursue something meaningful alongside her duties as a wife and daughter-in-law.

Every morning, while doing her household chores, she found herself daydreaming about the day when she would hold those books in her hands and start studying. Her heart swelled with joy.

And it wasn't just the idea of learning that made her happy—it was the fact that Jungkook had been her biggest supporter in this. He respected her, her dreams, and most importantly, her consent.

Tae felt blessed to have a husband like him, someone who respected her as an individual. He wasn't like the men she had heard of growing up—strict, controlling, or dismissive of their wive's aspirations. Though he has anger issues but he is trying his best to control his temper.

Jungkook is different. He is her Sa, her pillar of strength.

She smiled to herself often, thinking of how lucky she was. She made a silent promise: "I will always take care of him. I will always stand by his side, just like he stands by mine."

However, the last few days had been difficult. Jungkook had become increasingly occupied with his work, and their time together had become scarce.

He would leave early in the morning, before she had even finished preparing breakfast, and return late at night, looking utterly exhausted. Most nights, he skipped dinner entirely, too tired to do anything but collapse into bed after quickly freshening up.

Tae missed him. She missed their quiet moments, the playful teasing, the laughter that used to fill their evenings. Her Sa had become so quiet and serious, and she longed to see the carefree side of him again.

But tonight was different. Tonight, Jungkook had come home earlier than usual, and for the first time in days, he had joined the other men of the family for dinner.

Tae's heart had skipped a beat when she saw him at the table. Although they hadn't exchanged many words, his presence alone was enough to make her feel lighter, more at ease. It was a simple comfort, knowing he was there, sitting just a few feet away.

After the men had finished their meal, the women took their turn. Tae ate quickly, eager to return to her room where she could finally spend some time with Jungkook.

As she entered their room, the familiar coolness of the evening breeze greeted her. She looked around and spotted him in the balcony, sitting on the couch, fiddling with the old radio.

She watched from a distance for a moment, smiling as he attempted to make the radio work. It let out a harsh, scratchy noise, and Jungkook hit it in frustration; only for it to stop working altogether.

Tae couldn't help but laugh softly, amused by his antics.

Hearing the soft chime of her anklets, Jungkook turned his head. His eyes landed on her, and she could see the faintest smile tug at the corner of his lips.

She made her way toward him, her steps light and graceful as she moved across the room.

Tae- What happened? (she asked, her voice gentle as she sat down in front of him)

Jungkook sighed, leaning back into the couch with a tired expression.

Jk- The radio's not working. (he replied, sounding defeated)
