Tae walked down the narrow path toward Kim Haveli, feeling lighter than she had in a long time. Jiminee, sitting comfortably on her hip, held on tightly. The little girl, full of excitement, tugged at Tae's dupatta and looked up at her.
Jm- Mami-sa, where going? (she asked, her soft voice filled with curiosity)
Tae smiled warmly, adjusting Jiminee's weight on her hip.
Tae- We are going to my Maa and Bapu-sa's house. (she replied gently)
Jiminee's eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought of visiting someone's home. This was a rare outing for her. She hardly got to visit new places, and the idea of going to her Mami-sa's childhood home clearly filled her with wonder.
The familiar scent of sandalwood incense and the sound of birds chirping welcomed them as if the house itself recognised Tae's return.
Inside, Mrs Kim was in the middle of serving tea to Mr Kim in their courtyard when her eyes caught sight of the figures at the entrance. She froze, her eyes widening in disbelief, and then pure joy took over her face.

Mrs Kim- Tae.. (she cried out, quickly putting the tea tray down and rushing toward her daughter with open arms)
Mr Kim, too, stood up, his face lighting up with a wide smile. His usually serious expression softened as he saw Tae.
Tae placed Jiminee gently on the floor before she was enveloped in her mother's warm embrace. Mrs Kim held her tightly, pressing her cheek against Tae's, tears of joy brimming in her eyes.
Mrs Kim- Oh, my Lado Rani! You have come home! (she whispered, her voice thick with emotion)
Tae hugged her mother back, feeling the familiar comfort she hadn't realized she missed so much. A moment later, Mr Kim joined them, wrapping his arms around both his wife and daughter in a familial embrace. Tae felt a deep sense of satisfaction as her heart swelled with happiness, safe in the arms of her parents.
