The sound of loud, happy footsteps filled the air as Mr Jeon came rushing into the living room. He clapped his hands in joy and ran toward Jung-guk, his face lighting up with pride and excitement.
Mr Jeon- Jung-guk! You're finally back!
Without hesitation, he pulled his younger son into a tight, affectionate hug.
Jung-guk grinned and returned the hug, chuckling at his father's enthusiasm.
Guk- Yes, Bapu-sa, I'm back. Missed this place!
Meanwhile, Dadi-sa, who had been seated in her usual spot, quickly got up with the help of her stick. Though her body was slow, her spirit was quick, and she hurried over to welcome her beloved grandson.
Dadi-sa- My Jung-guk! (she called, her stern face softening with affection. As soon as she reached him, she kissed his forehead several times) Look at you, back from the city! My heart is happy today.
Jung-guk laughed, holding her gently.
Guk- I missed you the most, Dadi-sa. I was away too far. (he said, returning her affection)
The other family members had gathered by now, smiles and greetings filling the room as they welcomed Jung-guk. His charm and light-hearted nature had always made him a favorite in the household.
He greeted them all with warmth, but when it came time to greet Mrs Jeon, his expression changed. He shot her a sharp glare, clearly holding back some kind of grudge, and walked past her without saying a word.
Mrs Jeon's face fell, but she stayed quiet, her eyes showing her hurt. The rest of the family noticed the tension but didn't comment.
Jung-guk then turned his attention to Jungkook, standing with a calm expression next to Tae. With a wide grin, Jung-guk walked over and embraced his older brother.
Guk- Bhai-sa, you look older than your age now. (he teased, giving Jungkook a playful pat on the back)
Jungkook, well aware of his younger brother's nature, gave a small smile.
Jk- And you still behave like you're younger than you are. (he replied calmly)
Jung-guk laughed.
Guk- Well, someone has to keep things lively around here. Everyone can't be serious like you.
Jung-guk's eyes then flickered to Tae, who stood quietly behind Jungkook with her face covered in her ghunghat. Curious, Jung-guk stepped closer to her.
Guk- And who's this lovely girl hiding behind the veil? (he asked, reaching out to lift her ghunghat)
But before he could touch it, Jungkook grabbed his wrist firmly, his grip tightening around Jung-guk's arm.
Jk- That's enough, Jung-guk. (he said sternly) She is your Bhabhi-sa. Show her some respect.
Jung-guk raised an eyebrow and smirked.
Guk- Bhabhi-sa? (he repeated, clearly intrigued) Well, Bhai-sa, you should have introduced us sooner.
Jungkook, still holding his brother's wrist, pulled him slightly closer to emphasize his words.
Jk- This is Tae, your Bhabhi-sa. (he said, his voice firm but calm) She's my wife, and you must greet her properly. We are in Rajasthan, not in one of your western cities.
Jung-guk chuckled and pulled his hand back, rolling his eyes.
Guk- Oh, come on, Bhai-sa. She's so young—probably younger than me. And you want me to touch her feet?
