As Jungkook stormed through the haveli, his mind replayed the priest's stern words. His anger bubbled beneath the surface, threatening to erupt at any moment.

As he stepped into the courtyard, his eyes fell on Tae, sitting on the floor with her face buried in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. Mrs Jeon sat beside her, gently stroking her back and murmuring soft words of comfort.

But the sight of Tae crying did nothing to soften Jungkook's heart. Instead, it fueled the fire within him. The words of the priest echoed louder in his mind.

Without a word, Jungkook marched toward Tae, his jaw clenched in anger. Mrs Jeon, sensing the storm in her son's eyes, quickly stood up, her face paling with fear.

Mrs Jeon- Jungkook, No— (she tried to reason with him, but he ignored her completely)

He reached Tae and, without hesitation, gripped her wrist tightly, yanking her up from the floor. Tae gasped in shock, her tear-streaked face staring up at him in fear. Her body trembled as she struggled to keep her balance while Jungkook dragged her toward their room.

Jk- Come with me. (his voice was cold and short, filled with barely controlled anger)

Mrs Jeon- Jungkook! Let her go! It was an accident! Don't be like this! Please!  (she cried out, rushing after them)

But Jungkook did not stop. His mother's pleas fell on deaf ears as he continued pulling Tae along. Tae's quiet sobs only seemed to anger him more.

Without looking back, he marched down the hallway, opened the door to their room, pulled her in, and shut it with a bang.

Mrs Jeon stood outside the door, her heart racing in fear for Tae. She feared the worst—that her son would act violently, just as his father would; in anger. Tears welled in her eyes as she stood helpless, the muffled sound of Jungkook's angry voice audible through the door.

Meanwhile, in the hallway, Dadi-sa watched the whole scene unfold, a smirk creeping across her face.

Dadi-sa's pov.

Perhaps I was wrong about him. Jungkook isn't like his mother after all. This behavior proves that he's just like the other men in the family. She deserves every bit of his anger for the disgrace she caused us today. I wish he beats her well and show her what it takes to be a part of this prestigious family.

Inside the room, Tae stood trembling in front of Jungkook, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never seen him like this—so consumed by rage, his dark eyes glaring at her with such intensity that it made her legs weak. Her tears had barely stopped as she wiped her face with trembling hands, still sniffling.

Jungkook paced in front of her, his chest heaving as he tried to control his temper. After a long moment, he stopped and turned to face her, his voice low and dangerous,

Jk- Explain. Now.

Tae opened her mouth, but no sound came out. Her voice was trapped by her fear, and all she could do was stand there, shaking and crying.

Jungkook's patience snapped.

Jk- STOP CRYING! (he shouted, his voice echoed in the small room)

Tae flinched violently at his outburst.

Jk- Wipe your tears and tell me what happened. Now! (said sternly)

Her hands shaking, Tae hurriedly wiped her tears, trying to calm herself enough to speak. Her voice came out weak and stammering,

Tae- I-I… I was j-just trying to help… I s-saw that Maa-sa had forgotten to p-put the vessel on the counter… and… and I thought I should do it…
