The next morning, Tae woke up before dawn, her thoughts restless after the conversation with Jungkook. It was still dark outside, and the house was silent.

She glanced at the clock—4 AM. Sleep had escaped her eyes, and the weight of Jungkook's challenge pressed heavily on her mind. Determined, she got up, freshened herself, and got ready. The day ahead would be challenging, but she was ready to prove her worth.

After getting ready, Tae quietly prepared Jungkook's clothes, neatly folding his kurta and placing it near his table. Her hands moved swiftly and carefully, making sure everything was in order. She took a deep breath, reminding herself that this was just the beginning of her resolve to show Jungkook she could balance her duties and dreams.

Without wasting any time, she made her way downstairs to the Pooja room. The flickering flames of the diyas welcomed her, casting a warm glow around the room. Tae stood in front of the Durga idol, her heart filled with a mixture of anxiety and determination. As she lit the deepam, she whispered a prayer under her breath.

Tae- Maa, give me the strength to fulfill my responsibilities and achieve my dreams. Help me stand strong and prove myself.

She then took a deep breath and began singing the morning aarti, her voice soft at first but gradually growing louder and more confident. Her devotion flowed through every note, filling the air with a sense of peace and respect.

One by one, the entire household slowly awoke to the sound of her melodious voice. Dadi-sa was the first to stir, her sharp ears picking up on the unfamiliar but beautiful voice.

She got up and made her way toward the Pooja room, curious. Soon, Mrs Jeon followed, and before long, the rest of the family, including Jungkook, began gathering near the entrance of the Pooja room, drawn in by the sweet sound of Tae's singing.

Tae continued the aarti, unaware of the eyes watching her, fully immersed in her prayer. Jungkook stood at the back, arms crossed, observing her intently. There was something about the way she sang, the way she carried herself with quiet grace, that made him pause.

This wasn't the Tae he had expected to see. He had assumed she would give up or struggle under the weight of his challenge, but here she was, embracing it fully.

As the aarti ended, Tae opened her eyes and looked up at the Durga idol, feeling a sense of calm wash over her. She turned to see her family gathered behind her, watching in silence. She quickly composed herself, stepping down from the altar to give aarti and prasad to everyone.

Dadi-sa was the first to speak.

Dadi-sa- What a beautiful start to the day chori. I didn't expect you to be this devoted to our traditions. (she said with a rare smile, pleased by Tae)

Tae bowed her head respectfully, feeling a small sense of accomplishment at Dadi-sa's words.

Tae- Thank you, Dadi-sa. (she said softly)

She then moved forward, offering the aarti to each family member. Mrs  Jeon smiled warmly at her as she accepted the prasad.

When it was Jungkook's turn, Tae's eyes briefly met his. Without saying a word, she bent down to touch his feet, surprising him; causing him to flinch a little.

It wasn't something she had done quite often, and for a moment, Jungkook stood still, unsure of how to react.

But before he could fully process it, Tae, pinched his foot hard enough to cause him to yelp in pain.

Jk- Ahh!

Jungkook's sudden outburst caught everyone's attention.

The family members turned toward him with concerned expressions. Dadi-sa's brows furrowed.
