The next morning, Jungkook woke up with a pounding headache and a sense of heaviness weighing down his entire body. He groaned softly, rubbing his temples. The events of the previous night were a blur, and his mouth tasted of regret and stale alcohol.
As he opened his eyes, he found Tae standing by the bed, arms crossed and eyes narrowed, watching him with anger. He blinked a few times, still groggy, then raised his eyebrows at Tae, silently questioning her stern expression.
She narrowed her eyes even further and huffed,
Tae- Do you have any idea why you drank so much last night Sa?
Jungkook let out a slow sigh, running a hand through his messy hair.
Jk- What can I say? (he muttered, his voice still rough) My seniors insisted. You know how it goes.
Tae rolled her eyes in disbelief.
Tae- And do you even remember what happened after you got home?
He looked at her, clearly confused, and then picked up a glass of water from the table and took a large gulp.
Jk- Not really... did I say something?
He gave her a half-smile, hoping to brush it off, but Tae's expression didn't soften.
She hesitated, clearly uncomfortable, and then, almost in a whisper, said,
Tae- Everyone... everyone thinks I'm pregnant.
Jungkook choked mid-sip, spraying water everywhere as his eyes widened in shock.
Jk- What?
He coughed, looking at her as if she'd just told him the world had flipped upside down.
Tae widened her eyes at his reaction, flinching slightly.
Tae- Y-Yes.. (she confirmed, glancing away nervously)
He stared at her, speechless, as if trying to process what she'd just said. After a moment, he muttered,
Jk- Am I... still dreaming?
Tae, not amused, stepped forward and pinched his bicep hard.
Jk- Ouch! (he yelped, rubbing his arm and frowning at her) What was that for?
She looked at him with a raised brow, lips pressing into a thin line.
Tae- See? You're not dreaming Sa.
Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, sighing as he tried to piece things together.
Jk- So, everyone, including Dadi-sa, thinks you're... pregnant even though I didn't do anything yet?
Tae nodded, a mix of frustration and worry on her face.
Tae- Yes, and they were all waiting for you to come back and celebrate. You were too drunk to even realize what they were talking about!
He looked at her, still stunned, and then let out a half-amused, half-nervous laugh.
Jk- So, let me get this straight. You did't... tell them the truth?
Tae gave him a pointed look.
Tae- No, I didn't. You know how Dadi-sa is. She's already picked out baby names in her head, and I thought you could... help me explain things to her.
Jungkook blinked, clearly not pleased.
Jk- Me? No, no, No. You're the one who needs to clear this up. You can't keep hiding behind me when Dadi-sa's involved.
