The morning sunlight crept through the curtains, gently waking Tae. As her eyes fluttered open, she noticed Jiminee still fast asleep, resting her small head on Tae's stomach, while her legs were spread across Jungkook's.
But what truly caught her attention, though, was the fact that Jungkook was holding her hand. His fingers were tightly interlocked with hers as he slept peacefully. Tae's heart skipped a beat, her body tensing at the unexpected intimacy.
She gulped nervously, attempting to pull her hand back, but Jungkook's grip only tightened in his sleep, pulling her closer. She tried again, gently this time, but he groaned, still half-asleep, rolling onto his side.
As he turned, his hand finally released hers. Tae let out a relieved sigh, carefully adjusting Jiminee so the little girl wouldn't wake up, nestling her closer to Jungkook. In her sleep, Jiminee instinctively wrapped her small arms and legs around Jungkook, snuggling into him.
Tae couldn't help but giggle at the sight. The duo looked adorable together, and for a brief moment, she forgot the tension of the previous day. She slipped out of bed quietly, tiptoeing toward the bathroom to freshen up.
After some time, Tae emerged from the bathroom, her hair still damp from the bath. A towel was loosely wrapped around her head, soaking up the remaining moisture.
She stood in front of the mirror and began her morning routine, placing a small red bindi on her forehead. The delicate sound of her bangles chimed softly as she adjusted her dupatta, wrapping it over her shoulders to cover her front.
Unknown to her, the sound of the bangles stirred Jungkook awake. His eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the light, and the first thing he saw was her-standing by the mirror, quietly getting ready.
For a moment, he lay there, mesmerized. His gaze softened as he watched her. There was something almost captivating about her in the early morning light, her damp hair glistening as she pushed it back; a few water droplets from her wet hair flew onto his face, snapping him out of his thoughts.
He blinked, but still, his eyes never left her. He slowly pulled the blanket up over his mouth to hide the smile creeping onto his lips. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this... at peace.
Tae reached for the sindoor and carefully applied it in her hair parting, her damp hair falling down her back. She didn't realize he was awake, and he found himself stealing glances at her, noticing the little details he usually missed.
But, as always, his peaceful moment didn't last long.
Just as he was lost in his thoughts, Jungkook suddenly felt a sharp kick to his side. Jiminee, still deep in her sleep, had rolled over and delivered a powerful kick that sent him falling off the edge of the bed.
With a loud thud, Jungkook hit the floor, groaning in pain.
The suddenness of the fall pulled Tae out of her thoughts, her eyes widening in shock.
Tae- Sa? (she called softly, her voice laced with concern as she hurried over to where he was lying on the floor)
She knelt beside him, her hand hovering nervously before finally resting gently on his arm.
Tae- Are you alright? (she asked quietly, her tone filled with genuine worry)
Jungkook groaned, clutching his side.
Jk- Do I look alright? I just fell off the bed! (he said, his voice low and irritable, though more out of pain than anger.)
Tae- B.. but how did you fell down? You shouldn't be so lost in dreamland that you roll off the bed.
