COMMENT KARNA HAI SABHI NE..
It had been five months since Tae and Jungkook's marriage, and the atmosphere in the Jeon Haveli had become familiar yet complex.
Tae had gotten used to how the household worked, with everything mostly decided by Dadi-sa. Jungkook, being the eldest son, was respected, but even he was often bound by the traditions and his grandmother's authority.
Tae, with her quiet strength, learned how to move through these family expectations. She tried hard to avoid upsetting Dadi-sa, making sure to do her duties and keep peace, though she knew she'd never fully please the old woman.
Despite these struggles, her relationship with Jungkook was growing. He still scolded her sometimes, but he was trying to control his temper, and in lighter moments, his playful side filled their days with laughter. Tae treasured those times, feeling closer to him.
One afternoon, as the sun dipped low, casting golden rays into the room, Tae decided it was time to talk to Jungkook about her dreams. She had been thinking about this for a long time, her heart full of hope and determination.
As Jungkook sat at his desk, signing documents with a furrowed brow, she entered quietly, carrying a steaming cup of tea.
Tae- Here's your tea Sa. (said while gently placing the cup on his table)
Without looking up, Jungkook smirked, his playful demeanor surfacing as he pulled down her ghunghat, looking closely at her.
Jk- Waah! What a beautiful sight.
Tae- Sa.. Don't mess with my ghunghat. I don't like that! (she whined)
He chuckled, enjoying the playful banter before returning to his work. Tae took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation she had been wanting to have.
Tae- Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something important.
Jk- (pretending to be surprised) Oh my God! Am I gonna be a father?
Tae's face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes wide with disbelief. She lightly hit his arm, a mix of annoyance and amusement.
Tae- That's not funny! You're again teasing me!
Jungkook laughed, the sound filling the room with warmth, before he gestured for her to continue.
Jk- Alright, I'm listening. What's on your mind?
Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, Tae looked at him earnestly and spoke;
Tae- I- I've been thinking about my life... about us. (she began hesitantly) I appreciate everything you do, but I feel... trapped. I want to be more than just a wife or a daughter-in-law. I want to have my own identity.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion clouding his features.
Jk- What do you mean? Isn't being a good wife and daughter-in-law what you should aspire to?
Tae- No! Well, yes, but... (she struggled to find right words) I have dreams, Sa. I want to teach, to help other women find their voices. I don't want to be confined to the four walls of this house forever.
Jungkook's expression softened slightly, but he remained doubtful.
Jk- You want to teach? What can you possibly teach? Women here don't have the same opportunities you're thinking about.
Tae felt a pang of frustration.
Tae- That's exactly it! If no one fights for those opportunities, how will things ever change? I want to be a part of that change, and I need your support to do it.
