The two men woke up from the living room couch, startled awake. They looked around, then to each other, then to the tummies. No blood. No wound.
They're alive. Somehow.
Kaveh, wide-eyed: "What the heck did we just experience?"
Alhaitham, rubbing his sore neck: "A near-death experience."
Kaveh: "That was NO near-death, Alhaitham."
Alhaitham: "But it was all a dream, and we're alive now for that matter."
...
A dream...
...
Thank God...
Alhaitham: "Like I said."
Kaveh: "I know- gods, Alhaitham. You think I can't tell the difference from reality?"
...
That was scary...
I slept so long but I still feel so tired...
...
Oh right
I have to go to the police
Kaveh, recalling: "Oh yeah, I sorta forgot about that."
The protagonist looks over to the clock.
It's already evening...
I was planning on staying awake until morning...
I have to go consult...
... about the stalker
I have to go before it gets too dark...
...
I'm so tired...
Alhaitham, stifling a yawn: "Her tiredness is affecting us..."
Kaveh, slowly getting up from the couch and adjusted his clothes: "Well, we should go now."
Go to the police box to consult
The two men left the apartment, but were wary of their surroundings. After the dream they felt was real, they couldn't help it. Especially in a game like this; if they are expected to finish the game, they will. The System (a few games back) probably implied that if they complete the game to the... creator's satisfaction, they're free to go then.
They reached the front of the apartment condominium, and looked to the left. Then to the right. Where to go?
Kaveh: "System, where's the police box?"
Alhaitham: "... Perhaps to our left. Let's go see."
Kaveh: "Well, you lead the way."
They went left. Then with another path, they chose right, considering that it's closer to the road. A building stood by the corner, and turning there the words "Police Station" engraved at the top. They were about to enter when... they couldn't. They eyed each other, knowing that something is preventing them from going.
Alhaitham, his hand still on the doorknob: "Look, it's the policeman from a few days ago."
Kaveh, looking to see what he meant: "Oh yeah, it is!"
