He awoke the next morning and immediately knew it was early. There was a little light peeking in from the windows, but it was probably barely dawn. He quietly got dressed and put his gear back on before grabbing the Sheikah slate from the drawer and walking over to the clerk's desk. The middle-aged man greeted him kindly.

"Ah, good morning sir. It's quite early."

"Yeah. I am going to go out hunting. Could you tell my companions when they awaken that they don't need to worry and that I will be back in an hour or two?"

"Of course, sir." The innkeeper bowed.

"Thank you very much."

Jordan knew that he had a bit of time before they woke up so he had some time to do whatever he wanted. Luckily, what he wanted to do was also the best logical option. Because of his geographic knowledge of Hyrule, Jordan knew where all the local monster camps were located, and so he went around defeating all of the monsters around Kakariko Village. Most of them were bokoblins like he had fought the day before, and more battles gave him a chance to increase his experience and skill in combat. He was also able to obtain better weapons from the monster camps, and get rid of his less effective wooden weapons.

Jordan felt very adept at fighting now. He only obtained a few scratches, even after fighting Stone Talus, as well as a huge, one-eyed monster called a Hinox, which were giants that stood at least 15 meters tall with feet that were larger than a human. Luckily, these giants had the intelligence of bokoblins, and were extremely fat to the point that they were almost shaped like a sphere, limiting their mobility. The key was to shoot an arrow into their giant eyes and hit them repeatedly to lower their hit points while they were stunned.

After an hour of this, Jordan thought of a better idea. He caught a few hot-footed frogs, which were a common species in this part of Hyrule, and cooked them in some water with some monster parts. This resulted in a light blue concoction called a hasty elixir, which would grant him heightened movement speed for a short period of time. With this boost to his abilities, he went along the route east towards Hateno Village, and defeated all of the monsters on the way. That way, his friends would have a much smoother ride to Hateno Village when they left Kakariko later that day. As he traveled, he also collected ores and food ingredients he came across. He also didn't try anything on the Sheikah slate. He wanted to wait to figure it out with the others, and didn't touch it.

It was only on his way back into town did he fully realize that he had just been fighting huge monsters, and he had no clue how he had been able to defeat them. Jordan made it back to Kakariko right as the effects of the elixir began to wear off, and he spotted everyone sitting around the public cooking pot just across the path from the Inn, which was located next to the lake that surrounded the large house on rock. He walked over ready to eat, because he hadn't had anything before he went out.

"Jordan! You're back. The owner of the inn said that you would be gone for a little while. How did your hunting trip go?" Amber seemed to be in a much better mood this morning after the argument the night before.

"Very well. I didn't get hurt, and I got us some more moolah. I also can guarantee you that our travels today will be nice and smooth." he reported as he grabbed a stool and joined the circle around the cooking pot.

"What's moolah?" Will asked. Like an older sibling, Leenie responded, "It's money, stupid."

"But back to what you were saying Jordan," Olivia cut in, bringing them back in topic, "do you mean that you already killed all the monsters in the direction we are traveling next?"

"Yes. That way today we can be more productive. I also have some other strange news." They gave him equally strange looks in response as he told them the story, "While Olivia and I were at the top of the hill yesterday, Hylia, the goddess, gave me another message."
