Y/N's POV

Time was ticking down for both Buckbeak and Sirius. The injustice of it all stung—Sirius, wrongly accused, and Buckbeak, sentenced for nothing more than his own nature. My heart was pounding, hoping that somehow we could stop it, that maybe there was a way to change things.

"Hermione," I whispered, gripping her arm. "We have to do something."

She hesitated for a moment, then pulled out an hourglass pendant on a delicate chain. A Time-Turner.

"There's a way," she murmured, glancing at Harry and me. "But it's dangerous. We can't be seen by... well, by ourselves."

Harry nodded firmly, and I felt my own resolve harden. We had to try.

I watched closely as Hermione turned the hourglass, feeling a strange pull as the world spun around us. When we landed back in the courtyard, hours before everything had unraveled, I took a steadying breath.

"We need to split up," Hermione said, looking between Harry and me. "It'll draw less attention." She glanced at me, indicating the Astronomy Tower. "Meet us back here when you can."

Nodding, I quietly moved toward the tower, slipping into the shadows just outside. I was supposed to wait here, but my eyes drifted up to the tall spires, and I froze when I spotted someone there—someone who was muttering softly to himself.

It was Draco.

His usual sharp expression was softened, almost vulnerable, as he gazed out over the grounds. I couldn't make out every word, but enough drifted down to understand.

"This is ridiculous... a Malfoy with a Potter? And yet..."

He looked torn, gripping the railing as if it grounded him. "Maybe she's better off without me... but still..."

My breath hitched, and I felt a fierce urge to call out to him, to let him know he wasn't as alone as he thought. But Hermione's warning to stay focused echoed in my mind, reminding me of what was at stake.

Taking a steadying breath, I pulled back, disappearing silently down the stairs.

Harry's POV

We reached the clearing by Hagrid's hut, slipping past the fence as dusk settled over the grounds. The light was dim enough to give us some cover, but not dark enough to shield us completely if someone caught us freeing Buckbeak.

Hermione motioned for us to stay low, and Y/N nodded, moving forward to get Buckbeak's attention.

She held out her hand, bowing slowly, just as Hagrid had taught us. The great beast's fierce eyes settled on her, and after a long moment, he dipped his head in acknowledgment. She moved closer, unhooking his chains, and I felt a surge of relief.

"Come on, Buckbeak," she murmured, leading him quietly toward the safety of the trees.

I felt a rush of triumph. We'd done it. But there was still more to do. As Buckbeak disappeared into the forest, I exchanged a determined glance with Y/N and Hermione. We'd saved Buckbeak, but Sirius was still waiting for us.

Sirius's POV

The footsteps I heard weren't the cold, hollow steps of a Dementor, but something warmer. Hopeful. And when I looked up, it wasn't a guard—it was them. My godson... and goddaughter.

Harry's face was resolute as he pointed his wand at the lock, and the door swung open, revealing him, Hermione, and Y/N. She had James's fire in her eyes. For a moment, I could only stare, barely able to believe it.

"Come on," Harry whispered, urgency in his voice. Y/N slipped to my side, her grip firm as she helped me to my feet.

"We're here to get you out," she said fiercely. "We're not losing you too."

I could only nod, feeling an overwhelming gratitude. We hurried through the corridors, each step dragging me further from the darkness I'd endured for so long. And as we reached the grounds, my heart soared when I saw Buckbeak standing there, wings rustling as he waited.

"Get on," Hermione urged, helping me onto Buckbeak's back. I clung to his feathers, casting one last look back at Harry and Y/N. They had given me something I thought was lost—freedom, a chance to fight again.

"Thank you," I managed, voice choked. And then, Buckbeak leapt into the sky, carrying me away.

Y/N's POV

We watched as Buckbeak's wings beat against the darkening sky, carrying Sirius away from the horrors he'd been forced to endure. My chest felt tight with relief, even as the weight of everything that had happened settled heavily within me.

Harry's hand squeezed mine, and I gave him a small, fierce smile. "We did it," I whispered, feeling the enormity of what we'd just accomplished.

But Draco's words from earlier lingered in my mind, his voice filled with conflict and something more vulnerable. As much as I tried to focus on the victory of saving Sirius, I knew my feelings for Draco were going to be something I couldn't ignore forever.

We slipped back toward the castle under the cover of darkness, hearts pounding with the thrill of victory. For now, we had made things right. But the path ahead was still filled with shadows.
