Just as Raghav took a deep breath, preparing to share his thoughts, Tanya and Bhavya knocked playfully on the open door. "Hey, you two!" Tanya called out, her voice bright and cheerful. "The movie is about to get to the good part! You have to join us!"
Pallavi couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. She turned to Raghav, "You should go. I need to wake up early for pooja tomorrow, so I think I'll take a little rest now."
Raghav hesitated, glancing between Pallavi and the doorway where the girls stood, bouncing on their toes in excitement. "Are you sure?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
"Absolutely," she assured him, giving him a soft smile. "Go enjoy the movie. I'll be fine."
Tanya and Bhavya exchanged glances, their reluctance evident. "Are you really not coming back?" Bhavya asked, a pout forming on her lips.
Pallavi nodded, her expression warm. "Just for tonight. But you both have to promise to fill me in on all the details later."
With a sigh, the girls reluctantly accepted her decision. "Fine, we can manage without you," Tanya said with disappointed and said "At least Raghav coming back with us!"
Raghav glanced at Pallavi, a mix of gratitude and apprehension in his eyes.As Raghav walked out, Tanya and Bhavya enveloped him in their chatter, drawing him back into their movie night.
Pallavi watched them go, a bittersweet smile on her face. She knew the conversation they needed to have would come, but for now, she found solace in knowing Raghav was surrounded by the joy of brotherhood. Turning toward the bed, she began to arrange the quilt at the end of Raghav's side, her mind still lingering on their earlier conversation.
Suddenly, she noticed the door close behind her. Before she could turn completely, Raghav stood before her, she got Startled by his unexpected appearance, Pallavi lost her balance and stumbled back, falling onto the middle of the bed.
Raghav's eyes widened in surprise, but then a playful smile spread across his face. "Well, this is a surprise," he said, stepping closer, his tone teasing. "You really know how to make me happy."
Pallavi couldn't help but laugh, the moment breaking the tension that had built up earlier. "Not exactly how I planned to end my evening," she replied, trying to sit up but only sinking deeper into the bed.
Raghav, with a playful glint in his eye, slowly moved closer on the bed, making Pallavi retreat until she hit the headrest. A smile spread across his face as he placed his hands on either side of her, creating a gentle barrier. Leaning his head against her shoulder, he let out a contented sigh.
"Raghav, what are you doing? The twins are outside," she said, a mix of concern and amusement in her voice.
He pressed soft kisses along the crook of her neck, sending a shiver down her spine. "A few minutes ago, I said the same thing. If I remember correctly, you didn't listen to me." he murmured, his breath warm against her skin.
Pallavi's heart raced, lost with his closeness "But that is different and door is open" she protested, even as her mind struggled to process the intimacy of the moment.
Raghav pulled back slightly, just enough to look into her eyes. "I locked the door behind me," he said, his tone teasing yet sincere.
Pallavi searched his gaze, feeling the weight of unspoken words lingering between them. "Raghav, I—"
Before she could finish her thought, Raghav leaned in and kissed her squarely on the lips. The kiss was brief but electrifying, sending a jolt of energy coursing through Pallavi. It felt as if time had momentarily paused, and in that instant, the world around them faded away. Her heart raced, caught in a whirlwind of emotions—surprise, excitement, and an undeniable connection that had been building between them for so long.
The warmth of his lips lingered, and as he pulled back, a playful smile danced on his face. Pallavi blinked, trying to process what had just happened. She could feel the rush of adrenaline, the sweet aftertaste of his kiss still echoing in her senses.
"I... um," she stammered, searching for the right words but struggling to find them. Raghav's expression shifted to one of gentle amusement, as if he found her flustered state endearing.
"Relax," he said softly, his voice low and comforting. "I just returned to remind you not to overthink things."
"This is Unexpected? Yes, I know." His eyes sparkled with mischief. With that, he reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Whatever might happen around us, just remember—I am yours, and you are only mine."
before pallavi could react Raghav pulled back, a playful smile danced across his face, as if he knew the effect he had just created. he said, his voice light yet sincere. "I'm still trying to figure out the best way to handle all of this, but I have to say—I liked you so close to me"
Pallavi blinked, her mind racing to catch up with the unexpected turn of events. She could hardly process the warmth of his lips lingering on hers, the way his gaze held hers with such intensity.
Raghav still holding her gaze, and for a moment, it felt as if they were the only two people in the world.
With that, he turned to leave, but not before casting one last lingering glance over his shoulder, a silent promise lingering in his expression. Pallavi watched him go, her heart still racing. she sat there, a mix of confusion and exhilaration swirling inside her.
she couldn't help but smile, her mind racing with what had just happened. The kiss had been unexpected, yet it opened up a world of possibilities. She took a deep breath, trying to process everything.
Sinking back into the pillows, Pallavi replayed the moment in her mind. She felt a mixture of warmth and uncertainty, knowing that things between them were shifting in ways she hadn't anticipated.
