Rae took a deep breath and slowly let it out as she prepared for her sibling's lecture. "I was with Riven." Reine replied as she walked towards her sister. Bill was in the background with a slight smirk threatening to edge its way to the corner of his lips. "You didn't tell anyone where you were going, how long you would be gone, or even who you were with, Rae." Sookie declaimed.

"I didn't exactly have enough time to divulge that information, Sook."

"You could'a called, Rae." Jason joined in on the conversation.

Reine's eyes turned black for just when she heard her brother's voice. "Don't talk to me, Jason."

"I'll damn well talk to you if I want to talk to you, Reine Elyse Stackhouse! You nearly killed me then you ran off with this dude!"

"If you hadn't hurt Sookie I wouldn't have acted that way!" Reine shouted back. "You hit her for no damn reason! And this dude? He saved your fuckin' life, Jason!" She was furious. Reine was having a hard time controlling herself. She was certain her eyes were still black from anger. "You actually expected me not to react when you hit Sookie across the face and send her flying into the bed?"

"I didn't expect fuckin' vines trying to strangle me, Rae!" Jason yelled. "What the hell are you? Are you a vampire or somethin'? Did Bill turn you?"

"Bill hasn't touched me." Rae said as she took a shaky breath and attempted to control herself. She needed to calm down before she lashed out at her older brother again.

"Then what are-"

Rae didn't wait for him to finish what he had to say. "I'm a Divine Child."

"A Divine Child?" Sookie repeated the words with a furrowed brow. "What the hell is that?"

"It's complicated..."

"Of course it is." Jason said under his breath.

"Try to explain, Reine." Bill added to the conversation.

"Right now I'm a Demi-Goddess. My true parents are Hades and Persephone...you know the Greek God and Goddess that rule the underworld? From what I understand they put me in Mom's womb after she had an affair with some guy."

"So the rumors are true..." Jason huffed. "I thought it was all just talk."

"Not important right now Jason." Sookie told her brother. "What exactly do you do as a Divine Child, Rae?" The young woman asked her little sister.

"Well...I'll have to die and let go of my human side to gain all my powers. Once I die I become a Goddess, I'll be in charge of death, weather, vegetation, and beauty. I also guide souls to the underworld."

"So you were telling the truth that night of Gran's murder?" Sookie inquired.

"Yeah, I was telling the truth." Rae confirmed as she turned her attention to Riven. "Am I missing anything?"

"No, I think you about covered it all." Riven said with a smile.

"What are you to her?" Jason pointed the query to the man. He didn't like the idea of strange men hanging around his little sister. It was bad enough Sook was hanging out with vampires. He didn't need Rae to follow in her footsteps.

"I'm her older half-brother." Riven informed the two older Stackhouse siblings. "I'm also a Divine Child like Reine."

"Are there a lot of you?" Bill asked.
