The Rattrays

Once Reine stepped outside, she began searching for her sister. The young woman frantically looked about. She didn't see her anywhere. However, that changed in just a few brief minutes when she heard someone yelling. Reine ran as fast as she could towards the sound. The only light she had available was from the moon itself. This made things a bit difficult because she wasn't able to see very well. "You crazy bitch!" The sound of a man shouting urged her on towards all the clamor. Within seconds, she came up on her sister fighting with the Rattrays. Rae's eyes widened when she saw Mack pull out a knife and go straight for her sister. "Sookie!" Reine yelled. "Knife!"

Sookie dodged the knife -just barely and swung the chain that she was using as a weapon around Mack's throat, causing the knife to fall in the process. Gasping for air, Mack fell to the ground, clutching the chain as he tried to breathe.

Reine ran over to the knife and swiped it from the ground. The teenager stood in front of her sister and pointed the knife at Mack and Denise. Stopping Denise before she could attack her sister. "This ain't your business, you stupid bitch!"

Sookie took the knife from Rae and stepped in front of her. "Now, see, that just proves how low-rent you really are."

"Sookie, don't!" Rae attempted to intervene before her sister made things worse.

"You two have any idea who you're messing with? You don't wanna be on my bad side!" Denise shouted at the sisters.

Sookie ignored her sister and continued to go off on the Rattrays. "I'm not so sure you even have another side, you no-account, backwoods trash!" Sookie watched Denise as she began to back off, all while keeping the knife on her. However, at the last moment, she rushed over to the vampire and attempted to grab the bags of blood. "Do not even think about taking that blood!" Sook snapped as she threatened her with the knife.

"I will kill you both for this." Denise spat.

"Get out!" Sook ordered as she stepped forward and thrust the knife in Denise's direction. "Now!"

Denis quickly made her way over to her husband and grabbed him to pull him along. "Come on, Mack." The woman looked over at the Stackhouse sisters. "This ain't over!" Turning her attention back to her husband, she rolled her eyes as she spoke. "Come on. Get up, Mack!" She pulled on his arm, attempting to get him to stand. "Why can't you take that fucking thing off? I ain't got time for a fucking cripple! I'm getting out of here one way or the other."

Mack staggered to his feet and made a poor attempt to follow his wife. "Wait!... You... how else am I gonna..."

The Rattray's words died off as they made their way down the road towards their car. Sookie looked over her sister, running her eyes over her person checking for anything that may be wrong. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but what were you thinking going off on them like that? They could have killed us!"

"But they didn't." Sookie countered as she hurried over to the vampire. The young woman knelt down next to the creature and gently removed the silver chain that was restraining him.

Reine followed her sister and watched as Sookie took off the chain. It made her stomach turn. As Sookie removed it, it took his skin with it. "Sook... we should get out of here."

"We'll leave in a little bit-" As soon as Sookie spoke, the sound of a car barreling towards them filled the air. "Move!" Sookie shouted at her sister as she tried to pick up the vampire under his arms. "Quick with your feet!"
