By now, the music had changed to an explicit rap song, but the bass was still super loud. She hated this type of music and having to listen to it, at this volume, gave her a pounding headache. Making a plan, she told herself that she'd wait another five minutes before going up there and demanding him to stop the music. What is he even doing at this hour? She wondered.

Only a minute into her five minute deadline, she realized that she couldn't stand it anymore and wore her slippers before taking her key card and barging out the door. She made her way to the elevator, entered, and then quickly pressed on the P2 button. The elevator moved for a second before stopping and opening. As she walked out, her jaw dropped to the floor again. This floor had a hallway, whereas hers only had a little walkway. There were multiple doors and each room was labeled.

Scanning over them, she saw the main door was not labeled. Next to it was a door that said, "Game Room," and next to that, where the sound was coming from, it said, "Gym." There were three doors on the left side of the main door and another door next to the Gym but she didn't bother checking them because she knew where the noise was coming from. The hallway's carpet did not have a speck of dust on it, and there was that same chandelier that she noticed in the hotel lobby.

Slowly, she walked to the gym and brought her knuckles to the door, but realized that was a stupid idea because nothing could be heard with the loud music. So, she took her chances and twisted the door handle. Much to her avail, the door was open. Walking in slowly, the first thing that caught her eye was a shirtless back facing her and another hulk looking man that she had never seen before.

Her mouth gaped. Again! The hulk/Arnold looking man stared at her, causing the other man to turn around. God, no! It was Lucas.

Zoe felt like slapping herself when her eyes inadvertently looked over his body. He was wearing black sweats and no shirt, exposing his chiseled abs and toned figure. His arms and shoulder were breathtaking, just the right amount of muscle without looking like the hulk. Not to mention the sweat made him glow. He was a Greek god, but she would never admit that, not even to herself. The gym was almost as breathtaking as him and had more equipment than any gym she'd ever been to. Wow.

"Umm..." she started to say but was cut off by Lucas.

He quickly clicked the button of the speaker next to him and shut off the music. "What are you doing here?"

"You know this girl, man?" The hulk said, looking pissed off.

"Sadly," Lucas replied, quietly but loud enough for Zoe to hear.

Excuse me? She felt the rage coming to her in the single moment. Be nice, Zoe, be nice.

Her eyes on Lucas, she said with a straight face, "I'm sorry to disrupt your workout, but I did move into the penthouse today, and I can't sleep because of how loud your music is." It was hard talking to him because his gaze was so sharp and dangerously seductive to stare into.

"Man!" Lucas' friend said.

Is he going to cry about it? Zoe wanted to walk up to him and slap his face for acting like a baby but for her own safety, she restrained herself.

"Have you heard of ear plugs?" Lucas replied.

"Umm...yes?"

"Well you should buy them, it'll make the noise go away." After saying that, Lucas turned around and ignored her, hoping that she would walk away. Zoe, on the other hand, had steam coming out of her ears. She was the one pissed off now.

"Excuse me?" She was shocked at his rude demeanor. Just because he's a millionaire and an FBI agent doesn't mean he can treat others like this! "Just because you own the hotel, doesn't mean you have the right to disrupt my sleeping hours! Ear plugs won't stop the loud bass from shaking my bed." Zoe hadn't raised her voice in a long time. She just raised it right now and her voice didn't crack like it used to. Maybe it was all the practice she had.
