Tyler quickly pushed the door open and saw what had happened inside. He walked into the cabin that smelled like death. As the agents followed behind him, they walked over to the three bodies that were laying there on the whole hard, wooden floors. One of the bodies he immediately recognized: Janice.

The other two bodies, he knew one of them was Thanat but the other one he had never seen before. San was the first one that broke the silence. "What should we do?"

Tyler responded, "Let's get a team to come in and collect the evidence then we can send in another team after that to clean up the bodies."

"What happened here?!" Jenna exclaimed.

There must have been at least twenty agents in the cabin and all of them were as shocked as the others, as they saw Janice. They all knew it was Lucas' mom. Tyler's heart ached for his friend, thinking all the things that he must have been feeling when he watched his mom get shot.

If only I was here to help him! Tyler had been scolding himself ever since he found out about the news. His own best friend and brother got shot, and he did nothing to help him. What kind of friend am I?

Tyler was a little concerned that Lucas hadn't showed up to work in the morning, but he didn't think too much of it because he was often late. When it was clear that he was super late, Tyler decided to call him, on both his work phone and his personal. On both of them, Lucas did not answer. That is when Tyler started to get really concerned because Lucas always answered him. Always. But again, there was really nothing more Tyler could have done. He couldn't have gone to his house to check on him. His house was almost an hour away from the FBI site. Tyler remembered all the times that he insisted they share their location with each other, but everytime Tyler would suggest that, Lucas would laugh in his face. 'You just want my location so you can show up at the exact place where I'm at.' Tyler remembered Lucas laughing in his face and telling him that he would only share his location when pigs fly.

Although he was standing in a horrible place and dealing with a horrible situation, Tyler couldn't help but have a soft smile on his face. He was grateful. Lucas had gotten shot, but he had made it past the surgery and was recovering. There was no feeling to describe how good it felt to find that his best friend was safe. His eyes teared up. Tyler didn't know if he could live if anything happened to him.

"Tyler?" San said, breaking Tyler's thoughts, "Valencia is looking for you."

"Where is he?"

"Outside."

Tyler nodded and made his way to the front porch. Once he reached it, he saw Valencia smoking a cigarette.

"Since when do you smoke?"

"Since I found out my best agent is in the hospital."

"He's going to be fine."

"I know he will." Valencia put out his cigarette and continued, "I'm scared he won't come back to us."

Shaking his head, Tyler replied, "You know if he can he will, in a heartbeat."

Valencia concurred with a nod.

"What did you want to talk to me about?"

"I want you to get into communication with other offices around here and tell them the news that Thanat is dead. However, I don't doubt that he had set a plan in motion for after his death. There might be others that will come and try to avenge him. We need the entire country to know that this could be a national threat."

Holy shit! Tyler yelled in his mind. He had never been in charge of doing such a formidable task but he sure as hell was up to it. "Of course, I'll do that. I'll send a mass communication alert once we get back to the office."
