"Can you stop?" She exclaimed, trying to loosen his grip. It was no use. Lucas didn't say a word but just continued going.

"Where are you taking me?"

No answer.

He led her to a door, aggressively opened it, and slammed it shut. Now they were finally alone.

That is when she realized she couldn't take it anymore. This was too much for her to handle. So she blew up.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She yelled, pushing his arm away aggressively. "Why did you do that? You made me look like a little girl being dragged away by her father. What the hell is actually wrong with you?"

This whole time she was screaming, and to be honest, she surprised herself more than she surprised him. When have I ever yelled at someone like this?

Realizing what she had done, she felt bad. Before she would yell at him and not think twice about it because she knew she wasn't really mad. But right now, it scared her how aggressive she felt. I need to calm down. She couldn't. Her blood was boiling at the sight of Lucas.

Lucas looked a little shocked as well but he was too angry to care. "What's wrong with me? No! What's wrong with you? I bring you to my mom's party and you're already over her trying to dance with another man. Why didn't you just stay with me?"

If she yelled back and matched his energy, the fight would have escalated too much. But she didn't want to do that. She realized in his eyes, she had hurt him, and now all she could do was try to understand.

"Lucas," she started to say slowly, "I didn't mean to leave you. It's just that, my legs were hurting a lot so I really had to find a seat."

"Why are you always talking to other guys?" He barked.

She really tried to stay calm. However, after that comment, something in her blew up.

"How dare you? How dare you say that when you probably talk to a bunch of girls?" She was full on yelling at him now, not being able to control herself. "All night, you have been talking to everyone and one person comes and asks me to dance and you make it a big deal. I talked to one guy. I don't owe you an explanation. I can do whatever I want."

With anger in his eyes, Lucas walked a little closer to her, "No you can't."

She backed up a little bit with disgust in her eyes. "Excuse me?"

"I don't want you talking to any men unless I say you can." When he came a little bit closer, she could smell the alcohol on his breath.

How much did he drink? I only left him for half an hour.

"You're crazy. You can't tell me what to do."

"Yes, I can." Every word he said, he moved an inch closer to her.

"What's wrong with you? Get away from me!"

Lucas grabbed her by both her upper arms. "I can't! Don't you see I can't get away from you. All I think about is you. All I dream about is you. You think it's just a game huh? You think you can dress like this and not take over my every thought. You think you can be the most amazing woman I have ever met and not take over my entire being. I'm consumed by you. And I don't know how to stop it. I can't...I can't have other guys think about you the same way. I know they will. I know they do. I can't...I just can't. You're only for me."

"Lucas..." she whispered his name softly. What he was saying was out of line but she knew in her heart that he was saying the truth. He was consumed by her just like she was consumed by him. Or he was just drunk and didn't know what he was saying. But the other part of her mind told her that only honestly comes out when drunk.
