Royston opens his eyes.
He is still in the small canoe. It takes a moment for him to get his bearings. He spots his villa in the distance. Royston takes out the photo from his pocket and looks at it one more time, before tucking it back in. Royston rows the canoe back to the villa.
Once he reaches his villa, Royston quickly ties the canoe to the post, though he does grumble about how age has caught up with him, and scrambles to his room, where he removes his laptop. He places the photo and his notebook beside it. He opens the laptop screen and begins typing away.
