Brad stuck to his words and came home that night. I could hear him come up and peep into my room then go to his own at 1am. I could hear Colten go downstairs for food at 4am, I could hear Caitlin go to the bathroom at 5am and I could hear mum get up at 7am. I could hear my eyes beg for sleep all night, but my mind said other. All night I tried to wrap my head around the events of last night. Whenever I think of people being engaged I imagine them being in a relationship for years and then proposing, not after six months! I kept trying to believe that mum is happy and that is the only reason I will tolerate him. Mum was right, she deserves happiness, but it was selfish to do it this way. I came to terms that I am still not okay with it, but mums happiness is everything, so therefore I will not fight her on this, but I am not putting on a front to this Tim. I don't like the way this has played out and I'm still quite annoyed.
I hear a knock on my door and Brad comes through. He shoves me over and hops in beside me in the bed.
"Fucking crazy huh?" He laughs softly.
"You're telling me, how are you feeling towards it?" I ask snuggling further into my pillow.
"Well I mean when she first told me I grabbed him by his collar and almost beat the shit out of him if it wasn't for Colt and Caitlin grabbing me. I went for a breather and was thinking I mean, what she said about her deserving this, It just- stuck with me, yeah she does but we don't even know him, and he has kids." He explains.
"Oh yeah, who we're meeting today may I add" I pitch in.
"I'll stand by her side but not willingly" He concludes.
"You?" He asks.
"I want her to be happy, but I'm so pissed the way this turned out. Tim seems genuine, but I don't know him well enough at all"
I'm not okay with it, but I'll support her." I finish.
"Come on we need to go down there" He says getting up.
"Ugh do we?" I ask.
He grabs the covers and pulls them off me.
"Dude I could have been naked!" I shout.
"You wouldn't of let me in the bed if you were" He laughs.
When I get downstairs mum is cooking eggs and chatting with Colten and Brad.
"Where's Cait?" I ask.
"She went to Lizzies for an hour or two." Colten answers.
Something catches my eye on mums finger, then I notice it's a ring. Get a good look at it without being obvious. I can't deny, its pretty.
"When are we meeting yano who?" I ask taking a plate.
"They are coming over at two." Mum answers.
"Get mentally prepared for this" Brad snickers.

"They are on the way, Tim just rang me there. Guy's this means so much to me okay? Brad please be nice, Colten and Caitlin, don't be hormonal teenagers please, and Sky, no foul language and please please be nice" Mum begs.
"Best behaviour out of everyone" She warns one last time.
I'm dressed in a black skater skirt, a black crop top and my black leather jacket over, I chose to wear white sandals for footwear. My hair is big and wavy and I have natural make up. Mum went all out and dressed up with perfect make up and hair. No I'm not putting in a lot of effort for these people. Well, family now, soon to be family.
